Dice roller issues - 1d100 averaging 80s/90s

I have a weird issue in that my dice roller in one game is not rolling below an average of the high 80s for a 1d100, and in the last few rolls, the number 89 has come up repeatedly - sometimes repeating in the space of a few rolls. Is there a way of 'resetting' the dice roller? Or is this just a statistical blip, and the next 100 rolls will all be 01-09?

Are you using the button on the toolbar or are you using a macro/command to roll the d100? If its a macro, edit the macro and look at its syntax, see if the author was being cheeky and made it do something like drop anything below 80.

One way to check on the dice roller is to have it roll a high number of rolls divided by that number of rolls. So [[999d20/999]] should end up fairly close to 10.5. You can do a similar thing with d100, which should end up fairly close to 50.

Thank you all for the replies - I checked the GM's game & we are using the Quantum roller from our character sheets, or typing into the chat window - no macros are involved. I also looked at the Quantum pages & the random distribution all looks good. Basically, I have just had what appeared to be a suspicious run of results for me, but is actually statistically not that improbable in 1000s of rolls. My character just has to adjust for a long period of bad luck and failed skills! I used Kraynic's suggestion & rolled 999 D100s, and the average of the results was 50.7, as you might expect.
