Can I share Core Manual but not not Threats Database with players?

So possibly looking at this wrong, but trying to set up a game of Esper Genesis and sharing my compendium with the players. The problem is when I go into into the compendium sharing options, I can either select green to share it, or red to turn it off. But seems when I pop into my game with the red selected I also do not have access. Is there not an option to just share the Core Manual with the players but limit the access to the threats database to just myself? Or is it that they are players and won't have access to the "monster manual" monsters?

Unfortunately, compendium sharing is all or nothing. You still have out-of-game access to everything not specifically shared, but any part of a compendium shared in a game is available to all players, in or out of game.
