hi Rigel! Can you link me to the Marketplace Product that you're considering? I'll check it and make sure. From your Subject / Title, I think the answer is that Marketplace Products usually use GIF or Web-format animations, which is useable in Roll20 by all account levels (Free, and Plus). The /fx command effects are "particle effects", those are configured with a code. Those /fx are not Sold in the Marketplace (as far as I know).

Aw nuts, the link is this one: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/5202/animated-aoe-elements but now that you stated it, i think it's not possible, but thanks for checking it!

Wait, Rigel! Good news. It is possible. Yes. That set of Animated Spell Effects from Roll20 Marketplace will work normally on any account level, Free, Plus, or Pro. Enjoy!!
Woohoo! Thank you very much!

I found that the spell templates that precook the grid into them do not work well for making a vast majority of the spell effect templates you need. I found generic circles, squares, lines, and cones online and use those instead and resize them, if you resize the ones with grids it looks weird.
I was thinking of getting the pack but i learned that the bonus on my account was for subscription only 😅

Hey, I'm actually the creator of that pack. It doesn't work with the /fx command, and last I checked, Animations can't be called with the API either, so no luck there. Functionally, the animations are basically just really big tokens you can drag onto the board to measure spell effects using pathfinder measurements. I usually create custom 'characters' for people using an appropriate spell, with the spell image as the 'character' and give them control of it. You can size it ahead of time this way and drag and drop it with no fussing around with the spell sizes. Additionally, I believe you can drag them straight from the Marketplace Library and they'll resize automatically. Token Creators have an option to set a size for them and I believe that feature was implemented last I checked. Anyway, I know you mentioned not being interested in the pack due to what I presume to be a gift subscription given to you. Yeah, sadly you can't gift somebody a Marketplace balance. But if you ever are interested in trying to pick it up and have questions, feel free to message me directly and I'll answer what I can.
