Hello, my name is Dante, Male, 36, and let me start by saying that I'm looking to get back into TTRPGs after being forced to put the hobby away for quite a few years in order to focus on worldly and personal matters. With that said, I think D&D 5E would be a great start back down the rabbit hole that I deeply missed being away from. I'm looking for about a 50/50 split between roleplay/combat within the campaign, though I don't mind something that may require more roleplay. I have no issue with using discord for the game. I would like to use Voicemod for any in-character dialogue and I would just switch it off for all other narration to try and promote a bit more immersion. I would be willing to pay for a high-quality experience if I feel compelled after having seen, tested, and enjoyed some level of content to warrant the cost. Currently, I am a bit wary of flat-out paying to join a game due to past experiences so I would prefer a free session to get started. I do work a full-time job Tues-Sat from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm CST, so I would only be available on Sun and/or Mon, and as of right now I can dedicate any number of hours (within reason of course) on either day to the game/campaign. A few of my character preferences are as follows. I mainly enjoy playing young or middle-aged (21-40) fantasy anthropomorphic or humanoid characters. I can be very flexible with my character's background/history in order to help GMs build intricate story arcs for their campaigns. I tend to really enjoy off-tank classes that are primarily agile melee fighters with ranged capabilities, but I would LOVE to toy around with being a spell sword that uses a mix of melee and magic to either take aggressive action and/or support the party. I enjoy quirks and traits that may require a bit of roleplay to build more realistic characters.
