I'm looking for 3 or 4 players who are interested in playing a game which is focused on roleplay and a little bit on the managerial aspects of the campaign. The sessions time will be discussed with players but I live in CEST so I can play in the evenings in my timezone or weekends. The time in the title says when I'd prefer to start session. I'm 23 and I'm DM'ing DnD 5e for about 5 years. I came to conclusion that my playstyle (dm is a player too) can't be changed by much so this time I try to find some luck in having all people who like it onboard. I intend to make this game an open world. I create the world, the environment, the npcs and problems; players create solutions and interact with the world. This world has some events/stories/adventures that wait for the PCs, other have to be done sooner than later. For example, you can give 10 rare herbs to the druid in Weeping Forest after 5 months because it's not urgent or it doesn't impact anything (probably) but those cultists who kidnapped some kids and you know they want to sacrifice them next moon, that is going to happen. I don't judge but my goal is to create the feeling or at least an illusion of a living world. Actions and the absence of action lead to consequences. Not everything has to be discovered, there is no right way or correct order of doing things, you have problems which you have to solve, some are external, some are made by you. I tried, for quite some time, to define in few words this campaign but I think it would be easier to describe it by speaking than writing, either way I'll try my best. This game is somewhere between (using DMG descriptions for flavors) Heroic Fantasy and Dark Fantasy. It's about a group of people who will emerge as heroes and make their faction rise and spread out, once again, throughout the world, and they will do their best to prepare for the end that is to come. I imagine this game to be roleplay heavy but details will be discussed openly with players. Disclaimer:  English is not my primary language, I understand it very well, but my accent can sometimes be too much for some people so I don't try to do too many different voices or accents(because it may sound like gibberish) instead I use camera (I don't expect player to use it, but if you want to use it too that's fine) and go with face expressions. The main theme of this campaign is:  You're destined to die but death is only the beginning 1 .  Players will start at level 5 (most likely). The world is made by me and the action takes in one region (most of the time). I wanted to create meaningful long story but instead I think to have the game divided in three parts so if players want to end or something happens, there will some sense of accomplishment and at least one story or rather one part of the great story will be done. This will be discussed with players. The game will begin and will be listed( if I don't get enough players) 2 or 3 weeks from today (5th of April). Many things I want to discuss with the players but I'm putting here things, rules, information about the game, that are 100% certain and not changeable. I expect from players to: a) Work with me on the background for their characters. I really like incorporating PCs into my world and I think it lets the players to be immersed more in the game. b) Show up for the game consistently or tell me that they can't come anymore. We all have our lives, I understand that but if you don't have fun or something happened. Say it, so we can, perhaps, work it out or at least not ruin the game for everyone else by not showing up, not letting everyone know that you can't make it or (worst case scenario) damage the game during the session. c) Be polite to your fellow players.  You might think of me as your enemy but other player are your teammates. All of you are the protagonists and have to work together in order to achieve party's and perhaps your goals. THE SETTING 2 A Group of adventurers who are members of the Inquisition have to establish a new foothold for their organization in the region of Lusinda. They start in an old ruined hold, there an inquisitor who was their mentor, teacher and the one who recruited them. Characters get a difficult order from Grand Inquisitor himself. They have to "secure" the region. Baffled, the group starts to make their move. The "House" Rules Races only from PHB, except for duergar and drow There is one "homebrew" pantheon of gods who watch over the world Standard classes + custom(UA) classes that fit in the world 3 I'll be using discord for voicechat. Write a comment if you are interested or send me a private message. If I forgot something important I will make another post in this thread. 1 - The name of the theme is work in progress, for now this one is closest to what I have in mind 2 - I already wrote a lot so I decided to give basic information about the setting, didn't want to start writing about the world or history or some other stuff 3 - as long as the class can have its place in the world, is not ridiculous we can try to make it work. I won't say "no no no". I will check it and if it's okay from narrative side then the only thing to do is to balance it out (if it's too weak or too strong)
