Adding Spells to NPCs

April 07 (3 years ago)

Hello. I have just returned to Roll20 and am trying to create a Goblin Shaman for my game. It used to be that I could just select a Goblin from the Compendium and drag the information over to the NPC sheet to at least have a base from which to work but this does not seem to work anymore. I did, however, enter all of the information for the Goblin Shaman and am now trying to fill in his Spell List. I have his NPC sheet open on the screen but when I tap on the Compendium to select a spell, the NPC sheet immediately minimizes and I cannot drag the spell over to fill in the list as I used to do. Instead I am forced to fill in the spell information by hand. I tried to find something about this in the Tutorial and on YouTube but cannot seem to find anything. Again, how do I drag spell information, and for that matter monster stats to the NPC sheet as it is constantly minimizing when I select another function. It is a Goblin dungeon and I have about a dozen types of goblins to build not to mention the 'Bosses'. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have the sheet open in a separate window?  If so, don't do that.  Just have it open in the vtt.  Then you can drag things to it.

Right now the 'monster' is in my Journal. How do I open it in the VTT?

If you have the option to automatically open character sheets in a new window turned on, you need to turn that off in your settings.  Otherwise... don't hit the pop out button.  By default they open in the vtt.

Thank you so much. I was completely unaware of that option. I appreciate your time.
