Default to "explored" with DL?

I would like it so that some maps appear pre explored so players can see the terrain, but no tokens that are within that terrain.
Explored areas are player-specific, as I understand. I'm not sure there is a way to do what you want other than using daylight or light emitting tokens and put tokens you don't want them to see on the GM layer.
In Legacy with AFOW on, you can drop a token set to all players on the map with a gigantic sight range to create the memory mapping that AFOW uses.  Then turn on dynamic lighting and delete that token and drop the players wherever you want.  There is a chance you might have to do this with them on the page fyi as I dunno if it saves their fog locally or serverside but the GM can see the fog memory when Ctrl L'ing their tokens so I assume its server side.  This is all in legacy, yall who run UDL can figure that hot mess yourselves.

Hi mudge002! I thought I had responded to this thread earlier, but must have missed hitting "Send". It's very possible to do what you wish. After you have turned on Explorable Darkness, click on the Dynamic Lighting tool, and choose Explorable Darkness. You can then click the reveal button and draw a rectangle to expose whatever portion of the map you wish. If you think yo've revealed too much, you can repeat with the conceal button, or just click the reset button and start over. You can also choose the polygon tool if you want to reveal an irregular area.
