Vision issues

Hi,  New DM here. I played with my group for the first time today and we had issues with the lighting. I bought the premade Rick and Morty campaign. I currently have standard fog of war on for my map since I can't reveal it all at the same time. I have 5 players and 4 of them could not see anything when I revealed. Only one player (my husband who is on the same wifi) could see the reveal areas. I turned fog of war on and off and even with fog of war off, no one could see anything. I assigned the players the roles and the tokens. Each token was assigned as "see" and "edit". What could I be doing wrong?

Hi Rachel! If you are on a free account, light and token vision settings are meaningless They are for one of the two dynamic lighting systems only. And they mean even less when you are using standard fog of war. I'm sure you ran some tests at the time, but here are things to check: 1) all players are on the page with the player flag, and you have not Split the Party (dragged individual player avatars to different maps) 2) Players who are on the right map are not zoomed into an unrevealed area. You can ping-pull them to a cleared area by clicking and holding on it while pressing the shift key. 3) They are not using any extensions which forbid the running of JavaScript on Roll20 pages. I am not certain if this is still an exploit; I haven't tested in a long time. Regular Fog of War should not be causing this much hassle; it's the fallback for when something else goes wrong. Are you in a game created by a Plus or Pro user? There may be DL interference from Fog of War. It cannot be run on a page with UDL, which has its own equivalent, but may still be able to be run on an LDL page.
