Darkness where there is no dynamic lighting line.

Hello! This is driving me crazy now because a lot of my maps have this problem, and its taking me so long to fix. There are random areas of darkness even when there is no dynamic lighting line. It is not the dynamic lighting line, because it does not have the same restrictions. Like tokens can still move through it, even though they can not move through actual dynamic lighting line.      I attached images for what it looks like. The first one shows my dynamic lighting line, and the token has vision, so you can see a random area of darkness, even though there is none on the dynamic lighting. The second is what it looks like with CTRL+L.  The third picture is back in dynamic lighting. I deleted that line, and it cleared the problem. What I have been doing is finding those spots, deleting lines until I find whatever clears the problem, and then redraw the lines, but it is taking a very long time. I am 80% sure that it is always a line that goes in the same direction as the darkness, but not completely sure. Thank you

It looks like the line was T-shaped, indicating that at some point you doubled back on it. With the advent of one way walls, this seems to have become a thing to avoid. Super sharp angles seem to be causing a miter problem at the corners making the blocking effect extend outward. Try redrawing it as two lines. This is better practice anyway, as more and shorter lines are easier computationally (I have been told) and certainly easier to edit. This is also a reason to avoid freehand lines in dynamic lighting, as they may inadvertently create highly acute angles. At any rate, based on descriptions and solutions, this is what I believe to be the phenomenon: I believe that this is being looked at by the devs.

Ooooo, interesting. Thank you so much! This narrows down what lines I have to delete then! And okay! I drew long lines because I thought they were easier, but I know nothing about computers. I just figured less things on the map makes it faster. Thank you!~

I'm having this issue in Rime of he Frostmaiden in the Caves of Hunger room H23. Also have players seeing a starburst pattern in the lighting. Something weird going on. I haven't touched the DL layer. Edit: The phantom line literally cuts right through the middle of the entire map. We last played this game two weeks ago and did not have this issue. This is something new.

This is something new. This is a new bug. It is affecting existing lines, though. I believe it is being investigated. keithcurtis  said: With the advent of one way walls, this seems to have become a thing to avoid.
