Looking for D&D session to learn how to play.

I'll start by introducing myself and my info so anyone that is having a game starting soon or is planning a game can contact me: Name:   Fell free to call me Lizard (my friends used to call me this so it stuck in my mind now), name is Leo tho, so pick your favorite. Age:  21 Timezone:  GTM-3 (Brazil - São Paulo), rn it's 17:55 here (last edited time). Discord:  Sr. Lagarto#2505 Experience with DND:  Pretty much 0. Never played a tabbletop rpg before, so i don't know anything and i'm open to learning as long as somebody is open to teaching me. Aways wanted to start playing but never found a group (usually too advanced or not willing to teach new players where i live). My only real experience with tabbletop RPGs was watching my MTG friends playing it so again, i don't know the basics but really want to learn.  Experience with using Roll20 :  Again, 0, first time using it cause, again, i don't seen to find anyone to play irl. What I'm looking for in a group:  Just a friendly group to play with so i can learn how to play and maybe create new friends to chat along the way. Basically i want to laugh and have some cool stories to tell about the game. Favorite moment in a tabbletop :  As i said i never played a tabbletop RPG before, but what i usually like is anything horror/terror/lovecraftian horror/existencial horror, anything creep or unconfortabble i tend to love but my taste is pretty ecletic, so i love everytype of storytelling as long as it is fun and compelling. :) Jokes that are off the tabble for me:  None really, i have a pretty good sense of humor i think so i tend not to judge others, I'll also respect everyones sensitivities if need be, usually i don't tend to make dark jokes if i know someone in the room will take it badly. Character ideia:    Will play basically any class as long as someone has the patience to teach me the basics of it tho i usually gravitate towards the "monster hunter/schoolar" trope ( think of a something like a witcher, someone that has read the bestiaries and tend to be prepared to every ocasion, wich sometimes is to its detriment) or the "huge muscular a-hole" trope (like a knight that thinks he cannot do anything wrong and is usually sarcastic but good hearted).   The race of my character can be any race that fits the campaing, but usually male human (usually nordic or some northen, not fully barbaric, race)  or male elf is what i would go with if given the choice. English is not my native language and i pretty much taught myself how to understand it and how to speak it, so i have a pretty strong accent and sometimes words fail me (wich can be usefull if im playing as a forener from some distand land or something like that, idk, at least then my mediocre grasp over the language will have a canonical explanation :) ) If anyone makes a character for me I'll play as it and roleplay it to the best of my abillities. Somethings to know about me: Name is Leo, my friends used to call me big lizard so i ended up adopting the name, I'm 21, male, south brazillian, so timezone is 3 hours ahead of texas time i think (GTM-3), tho this shouldent be a big problem cause i'm used to staying up till 6 in the morning by now :D Really looking for a group so i can learn how to play, I've been in love with the worlds and stories that i heard about some campaings in D&D and in some other RPGs so aways wanted to start playing but never found a group (usually too advanced or not willing to teach new players where i live). My only real experience with tabbletop RPGs was watching my MTG friends playing it so again, i don't know the basics but really want to learn. English is not my native language and i pretty much taught myself how to understand it and how to speak it, so i have a pretty strong accent and sometimes words fail me (wich can be usefull if im playing as a forener from some distand land or something like that, idk, at least then my mediocre grasp over the language will have a canonical explanation :) ) I'm a med student so i usually do not have unlimited anounts of time in my hands, but I'll try to make time (as much as I can) so I can be online at the same time as the rest of the players. Really want to learn how to play.
