Players can see token but not map

I have Dynamic Lighting and FOW enabled, tokens have vision and are generating light (visible on GM screen), and players CAN see their tokens, and each others, but cannot see the map. I've revealed it as well.  Really can't figure this one out.
Is the map on the map layer?

Some things to check: Which DL system is this for? UDL and Fog of War are mutually exclusive, so is this LDL? Check to make sure the map is on the map layer and not the GM layer (this happens) Double check a token in place on the VTT (rather than depending on a default token) that the settings are correct, including the controller. If on LDL, turn off fog of war to test if this is where the culprit is. Also, if LDL, I assume you mean Fog of War and not Advanced Fog of War? If on LDL, check for closed polygons on the DL layer. Recent changes have made these problematic on LDL. They should not give a totall black screen, but without seeing the setup it's hard to say authoritatively. Ultimately, the best way to test any DL setup (L or U) is with a  Dummy Account . Then you can check very quickly the player experience without having to worry about miscommunication or delays between trial and result. In no case should you depend on Cntl-L to give you an accurate view of a DL experience. It's for Line of Sight, not DL checking. Also, here is a more broadband checklist for both light systems: Here's a "why can't my players see anything?" checklist. The important thing is to verify . Don't assume. This list is written with GMs in mind, but can help players work through issues with their GM. The token is on the VTT It is assigned to the character The player has control over the character The token is on the Token/Object layer It is not blocked off by DL lines from seeing the immediate surroundings Make sure the player is looking at their token's immediate area. Shift-Click and hold on the token to pull the player's view to that area. If Fog of War is being used, that the area the token is in has been cleared The player has not been Split from the Party (Check the Help Center if this is unfamiliar) If Dynamic Lighting of any kind is being used: The token has sight turned on The token has a light source, or Nightvision (UDL) or personal light (LDL) In UDL it may be necessary to move the token one square to get everything working, or in extreme cases, refresh the (user's) page. Can you see a rotating cube in this URL ? If not, the browser needs to be WebGL compatible (99%+ are).

Im using UDL.   I do have a dummy acccount set up to test. I've gone through your trouble shooting and nothing has solved my issue. They can see the map when explorer mode is available but greyed out.

You can file a  Help Center Request , but I'm not sure what would come from that. The high likelihood is a procedural error, even though you've checked everything. If you want to PM me an invite and promote me to GM, I'd be happy to pop in and investigate, and boot myself out of the game afterward.

Have you cleared "Permanent Darkness?" It's the UDL equivalent of basic Fog of War. It should be unset by default, but it's possible something got clicked during your testing.
