Token sizing should be standardized with or without grid

Why do the token sizes change when you take the grid off? I feel like they simply shouldn't. I love using no grid for better freedom of movement but I always have to put the grid on drop the tokens and then take the grid off. Its just tedious and idk any reason the tokens need to be bigger without the grid
