By that I'm referring to this. https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Monsters%20List#content For one thing its very slow. I think the issue is that its trying to load all the monsters. D&DBeyond avoids this issue by only load 20 statblocks at a time (or only 10 with their encounter builder). But the tool is also kind of clunky. It would be better if you could select multiple sources at the same time. It would also be better if there was a filter for the monsters environment. Using filters generally just feel very slow as well. If you are trying to select a bunch then it can take a long time to do that. Edit: I should add that I have Kobold Press's Tome of Beasts 1 and 2 as well as Creature Codex. So that adds a lot to the list.

I takes me about 12 seconds for the entire monster list to load, and I have just about everything in the 5e compendium. Once it's all loaded, it takes about 8 seconds to run a filter. I'm probably just used to it, but that doesn't seem out of line for the amount of data being polled. Still it is valid to ask if this can be further optimized. If you want to get this in front of dev eyes (though I doubt there would be immediate movement on such a large task), you could try a Help Center Request . There's no guarantee of dev awareness on the forums. If you have some specific ideas on how it could be made better (like your minimal starting load above), that's a good use of the Suggestion forum. Personally, I would rather wait for a complete list than have to go through multiple pages, but I understand that's a matter of preference.
