[Free][Looking for one player][Pathfinder 1e] They Are Coming

Day of the Week: Wednesday Time: 17-21 GMT (19-23 CET) Language: English Discord: Voice required System: Pathfinder 1e Having lost a player I am looking for a replacement. I would be happy to meet you and hope to find that perfect person to fill this hole!! Setting: The world is a homebrew world I originally made a decade+ ago, and have updated and adapted a few times. The world is large and expansive, with a place for almost all backstories. Rival nations are in frequent conflict, mage universities and orders of knights compete with one another and monsters always lurk just beyond the edge of civilization. The world is a medium magic world. What I mean by this is that there are mages around, but they aren’t exactly common. Magic items tend to be abundant and plentiful, but not super powerful. My Expectations of you as a player: 1: 18+ Years old. This isn’t for NSFW content but I want to deal with adults. 2: Only looking for one player. I have 5 already. I will not accept a 7th. 3: Discord Voice Chat is a must. The game will be played primarily via voice, not through text. 4. Punctual. We each are giving up a portion of our time. I (the DM) take extra time to write the story and prepare things for the next week. I view it as incredibly rude to be late. You being late leaves me and the other players waiting. If you have to be late due to real life things, I expect the courtesy of telling us as soon as possible. We also understand that emergencies happen. 5: This is a long term campaign. I intend to play it for many months, hoping to wrap up near the end of the year. 6: Laid back/chill. The group is this. There have been tense moments In Character, but nothing like that Out-of-Character 7: Willing to play ‘catch up’: You’ve not been with the group since the beginning. They’ve bonded together, they have all the pieces of storyline. I will try to help with this, giving you something to help you into the group, as well as help you pick up what is going on. 8. I expect you to play a cooperative character. This seems to be a reoccuring problem. Playing a brooding, edgy, dark and mysterious character is great for a session 1 when you're all being forced together, but when you're trying to fit into an established group it doesn't do you any favors. Character Creation: 1: Non-Monster characters. The world is dominated by humans, who would not be keen to trust a clear and obvious monster. Humanoid ‘Monsters’ like Drow, can pass and hide, but if found out will not be treated well. 2: This will be a “good/neutral” aligned campaign. I expect you to build and play a cooperative character. I will not be tolerating player-vs-player combat without extreme reason. 3: It will be a casual game, focused mostly on the story and roleplay. There will be combat, but do not expect to be allowed to power build or min-max your character. Flaws are beautiful. 4: Tying in with the above, your character must make logical sense. If you choose an ability because it is the most powerful option but it doesn’t make sense, it will be rejected. A Cleric of a deity that hates undead choosing an Animation spell because it is the most powerful summon, for example. 5: As said above there will be a degree of travel in this campaign. Your inventory weight will matter. Consider things such as food and water. Plan this as you create your character. 6: The group just reached level 8. You’ll start at level 8 with appropriate gold to buy (magic) items with. What you can expect of me: 1: Free. I will not be accepting any money for any of this. This is for my enjoyment. 2: I will strive to create a compelling story to draw you in. 3: I will be on time, ready to play at the appointed time. 4: I am willing to talk with you about your character, help build a background and goals, and build that into the story. How to apply: Send me a private message here, on the forums. I want some basic information from you: 1: Your timezone 2: Your roleplay experience, how much experience you have with Pathfinder 1e or D&D 3.x 3: That you are an adult. (I don’t need documents or anything, just confirming you understand that I am looking for adults only). 4: Optional: Ideas for your character, race, class, personality, concepts, goals, etc. I will review applications and will speak with each of you as soon as i can. I hope to hear from you soon. Best Regards Don
This is a wonderful game, and I am glad to be part of it. Good experince of RP, Reminds me of the good old days. Sign up if you can, you surely wont miss anything out of this one :)
Hi all,  I'm one of the other players in this group. We've got a great group, and some fab stuff going on right now linked to a PC's backstory. Please don't be put off if you've only ever played 5e - we'd rather have someone who is invested, turns up regularly, and puts effort into roleplaying than somebody who is an expert on the rules (though we'd ask that you make some effort, of course!).  Help will be available at character creation and, if needed, levelling up - more importantly, this is a relatively high-RP group and we're looking for someone who can make a character that will interact well with the existing PCs outside of combat.
I want to thank everyone that applied to me. It was a difficult choice but I've chosen someone to join my game. This thread is closed! :D
