I've never played before, looking for first game / walkthrough

I've recently been interested in D&D and would love to learn; however sad it does not easily allow a solo option. Trying to recruit some of my close friends that also do not know how to play, so unfortunately it looks like I will need to learn how to play to become DM to teach them.  What I'm looking from these campaigns / sessions is more of a mechanical combat stand-point as I've taught myself character sheet (for some classes). At the end of it I'd like to do a beginner level DM job for my friends so they are not disinterested in moving forward.  Thanks in advance. -Michael 

What time/day do you prefer to play DnD?

Hello! I’m offering free one-shot games for new players using a custom game developed to last a single session of roughly three to four hours called “Fish & Ships”. Using this game, I have successfully taught people that have never played Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition the basics of the game, Roll20, and Discord. I limit the attendance of these games to players that are brand new to Roll20 and/or D&D 5e. If you have previous experience, you will likely not have the intended experience.
