External Journal not working

For one of the games I'm in I can't see any entry in the external journal at all. There are plenty of things I should be able to see as the GM but there's nothing. Edit *This is for my game, " Alex: Thursday Night "

Hi Alex! This might be something that would be best handled through collecting a Console Log ( Chrome ,  Firefox ) and filing a  Help Center Request . If you are the GM (in this case, being game creator is immaterial) and cannot see any external journals, it sounds like something is wrong. You could also try while using a different browser or a private browsing window.

Definitely something has happened with external journals very recently. Although I can still see stuff the hyperlinks to individual handouts no longer go to the specific page after opening the external journal. Instead merely opening the external journal and stopping there. It's a curious behavioural change which completely broke the dynamic overlay I'm using for my show. Opening the EJ does throw several console errors, I've filed a bug report and been told its been elevated to the slack channel. Not sure if its related to yours not showing Alex, but the fact that your issue, mine, and the handout "unable to sort A-Z" issue have cropped up at about the same time has me wondering.

Keith, after going through your suggestions I've discovered that if I am the GM of the game I can't see any of the external journal entries. Only when I'm a player and I have the entries assigned to me can I see them. For my current fix, I have two accounts accessing each game I run and I'm signed in on Firefox and ... on Edge *cringe* EE, it sounds like we're having somewhat of the same issue, but you seem to be having more problems than me.

Question: are you the creator, or a promoted GM in someone else's game? I've never tested, but it might make sense if you were a promoted GM that you would have to have specific permissions assigned.

Hey, Its the closest thread i found to talk about this issue When logged as GM i see really strange list of handouts in External Journal, it looks like char are all there (but not sure), but lots of handout are missing and i don't understand why While i'm logged as my dummy account which has a player permissions, he sees the handout as expected Also, when i copy the url to a specific handout, when i try to open it, it open on the index page even though the url is the same as the link in the index you have to click to access the handout, is that intended ?
