Rolling plus a variable?

So I'm going to go into a game at some point where I have a stat that can fluctuate depending on several factors, let's call it X for simplicity.. If I want to have a macro that can roll and add stat X, if there I way I can mark down "Stat X currently=#" somewhere so when I roll "3d6+X" it'll just use whatever my current number is instead of having to make separate macros for each number it could potentially be?

The easiest way would be to create the stat (if it isn't already part of the sheet), and then link it to a token bubble. Then you could alter it from the token if you don't have the sheet open, and you could put it in your roll calculation like any other attribute. https://wiki.roll20.net/Complete_Guide_to_Macros_%26_Rolls#Character_Attributes Or you could just include a query to put in the modifier each time there. https://wiki.roll20.net/Complete_Guide_to_Macros_%26_Rolls#Roll_Queries
I'll take a look at those thanks.
