26, 2018 Friday Kismet
has gone back to her haunted dorm room. The ghost isn’t bothering
her, in fact she does not see the spook looming around the dorm with
her spirit sight. Sherry (her friend the RA) calls her up and invites
her to go to the Halloween fraternity party being hosted by the Zeta
Tau Alpha, with help from their sister sorority Kappa Phi Lambda. The
girls make plans to go out tomorrow (Saturday) for lunch and to shop
for Kismet’s costume. Sherry tells her about how ‘Doctor Psycho
and his Killer Axe’ is going to be (at least) part of the musical
entertainment for the party. Paladin
notices on the security monitor that a number of women are outside
the Bunker forming picket lines. Siena Kravitz and twenty some odd
other picket and protest the Brooklyn Brigade. Siena Kravitz is
talking to a reporter and her photographer (Lori Hall and Judy
Strangis). Paladin walked up behind Kravitz and eavesdropped on her
tirade for a few minutes. Cyberpunk hung out nearby and made faces at
Kravitz making sure he was caught in the photographer’s shot. Paladin
gives the CWA permission to protest on their private property as long
as they kept the main doors free, in case the Brigade needed to
respond to an emergency so that no protesters were endangered as the
team responded. After
Paladin finishes talking to Kravitz and the reporters Cyberypunk uses
his powers to hack the cell phones of the CWA to get a contact list.
Using the hacked contact list he sends out a message for all the
members of CWA and sympathetic members of the League of Super Hero
Decency to come to a warehouse (a truly abandoned one) where female
super beings are being abused. Paladin
goes back to the base and waits for the Circle (Dr. Arcane’s
branch) to respond to his message. After
school Cyberpunk picks up his sister and they go costume shopping,
she wants a devil costume. He gets it for her! That
night when the story breaks pictures of Cyberpunk making faces at
Kravitz and the reporters When the the story breaks the media puts
Cyberpunk front and center with the tagline Brigade Does Not Take
Accusations Seriously. Cyberpunk
takes a minute and checks the sea-monkey tank and notices that they
have started building simple structures out of the gravel on the
bottom of the aquarium. The group becomes slightly alarmed at this
development. October
27, 2018 Saturday 1AM Hal
(one of the space ship robots) calls and reports that Kei’s and
Yuri’s ship has launched is heading to space. Hal thinks that their
robot NAMMO is taking the ship home. 11AM Sherry
and Kismet have lunch and then hit the mall. Sherry shows Kismet her
costume, it is kind of a Batman meets a pirate combination. She has a
fencing foil, two musket, a furry bikini, and a bat-themed domino
mask. Spencer (Sherry’s (non-exclusive bf)), is going as a
scarecrow. Kismet
is going as a sexy-witch. Sherry
will take Kismet to second-hand store where she can get a good broom
for her costume. Sherry finds one that is perfect for the look and
hands it to Kismet. When she touches the broom Kismet feels a slight
spark in her mental awareness. She buys the broom. Paladin
calls Dr. McQuark. He wants to see how he is doing, tell him about
the disappearances at the battle with the Saiettas, and to see when
he can start mass producing the vaccine for the glove cleaner virus
developed by Bloodmoon. They
talk for a bit and McQuark tells him that the city wants him to
locate his lab further away (for safety sake). Paladin tells him that
might not be a bad thing. The value of the land the original lab sat
on must be worth a fortune. McQuark tells him he gotr a get well soon
and a box of dead flowers from Stephen Fuergeson. Fuergeson is in
Africa and has been since long before the attack on McQuark’s
car. Fuergeson
is still a suspect but he is less of one because of distance. Lastly
Paladin tells him about the new addition of Cyberpunk to the team and
his cyberpsi powers might be a help in finding who tried to kill him.
Unfortunately McQuark parted out what was left of the car and reused
the pieces. Paladin
then launches the project of trying to locate Avengelyne asked him
about the disappearance at the battle. He will give it some thought.
Paladin tells him about Cyberpunk. Paladin has Cyberpunk start
looking for Avengelyne. Kismet will try mind scan while Cyberpunk is
using the internet. Chrys is here, somewhat confused by Halloween.
Kismet goes to see Cardinal Thomas to try to find Avengelyne, the
angel of the lord who was cast out to the Earth. Cyberpunk
goes through an exhaustive search of women with wings on the internet
trying to find her. He locates a treasure trove of wing-fetish porn
but nothing definitive linking to Avengelyne’s whereabouts. Kismet
goes to see Cardinal Thomas Alessi at St. Ignatius Cathedral. The
Cardinal lets her do an object reading of her room and cot but
nothing very useful comes from it. In talking to the Cardinal
afterwards he tells Kismet that Avengelyne was very concerned about
the appearance of the Blight in Los Angeles. She rarely discusses her
plans with the Cardinal but he does not think she went to investigate
the Blight. [End
