Touch Screen

I searched the forum for info on Touch Screens and Roll20.  However most of the posts were 4 or more years old and the technology gets better. I would hope. Ideally I would like to lay a touch screen flat and use roll20.  The players will move their miniatures across the screen and expand a fog of war (or whatever roll20 calls it)  Also, can each character be tied into the character stats so that things like passive wisdom can come in to play Will that work with Roll20 the way I am describing it.

You can use the Touch20 Chrome extension (available in the Play Store) to do quite a bit with touch.  I'm not aware of a good way to tie the movement of physical miniatures on the screen to movement of tokens (which would be necessary for the fog of war stuff), but the players COULD move their tokens via touch and then set the miniatures down on the screen on top of the new token locations.  You might have to try out some different materials on the miniature bases to prevent the touchscreen from detecting them as touch points.

Here is a nice user setup using a capacitive touchscreen, and miniatures with copper foil on bases. You might be able to contact the user for details or tips. Video Thread
