Unable to select one player when dealing cards

I am running a Savage Worlds game and one player does not show up in the list of players to deal cards to. Selecting "All Players" will get him cards, but I am not able to deal a card to just this one player.  Some background: We've been playing since February. One player left the game in June, which I have not done anything with. And the new player joined in July. It is the new player that I cannot find a way to deal cards to. Otherwise everthing else is working. Any ideas? I have searched the help, the forums, and google, but have not found anything like this.

I connected with my test-player account and now it is working. 

Glad it's worked out. I would have suggested checking the new player's name for control characters, particularly quotes, like Bob "Bad Guy" Johnson . But it's working properly now?

It is working properly now. I can't explain why, or what was wrong. But since it is working, I am good. :)
