Gather party

I would like an option to create a group party option where you can right click the screen as a dm and gather party. You would have to have a Party option menu though. So you could right click token, create a party, you then would pick the person and persons in the party. You could then pop the group on any current map yo are on. Yes you have the ribbon at the top but the problem with that is that you manually add all the tokens back. Right click Gather party would be more convenient.

I can see the value in being able to create a journal entry for a group of tokens.
Can we bump cause this is really needed.

Instead of having to do all that clicking and picking of members to assign them and then move them with more menus. Wouldnt selecting them with a drag box, cntl-c(or x) cntl-v be faster? how I move my group around. Select them, 2 keystrokes and they are on the new page right in the location I wanted them Or am I miss understanding the purpose of the group option you suggested?
Why not pre-create all the PC tokens on each map during setup? That's what I do...all you're doing is dragging the default tokens to the new place. Takes like 5 seconds, and is negligible in terms of set up time. Even if you have to drag them otherwise...dunno, what exactly are you doing now? You say "manually add" but you're talking about either a couple drag and drops or a single copy/paste operation. I just don't understand how your recommendation would help...it would honestly be slower than the system right now. Maybe I'm missing the benefit of what you're describing. Could you be more specific? Thanks!

Why would this be a bad suggestion?? You guys just want to do things the hard way. You right click on the map and gather or drop the party tokens onto the map. Why is this hard. Please explain to me what is unclear about this.

Please explain to me what is unclear about this. Nothing is unclear at all to me, and in fact when I first used Roll20 I looked for just that feature. However this is one of those "fairly easy workaround" type of things, and while handy I hardly miss the feature now. Making suggestions is good (I'm making plenty of them myself) but remember Roll20 has a very small dev team, and even good ideas take a while to plan in. I'm just happy when the thing emulates a simple battlemap with die rolls -- everything else is gravy. So Nelson keep the suggestions coming, but remember that even if a dev sees it and shouts "Hey, that's just what we need!!" it will still be months before we the players see it in action. That said, I will add that I think that sometimes people are too quick to dismiss a feature just *because* there is a workaround. The whole point of a service like Roll20 is in making a Virtual Table Top as handy as possible to its users. After all, we could all just be propping a webcam over a physical battlemap set on a table (which one of our GMs still does -- sigh).

Didn't say it was a bad suggestion, I just don't get what the difference between right-click -> copy and right-click -> paste is to right-click -> create party and right-click -> gather party. It's a different name for the exact same result with the exact same amount of steps. Maybe later on it will save you the first step since the party is already "saved" but you're still talking about an improvement of seconds. Most GM's already do a ton of copying and pasting for map creation, not sure why adding a redundant party feature that replicates copy/paste is "easy." It's unclear because you're asking for a feature that already exists. Or if not, I don't get what the difference is. I get trying to make things easier but to me this seems like more work than the system already in place. I'd certainly never use it, unless I'm completely missing what you're trying to do.
Already exists... copy/paste.
Hahaha you are so clever.
Let's try to keep this civil, folks.
