[LFP][PAID] Veteran DM open to all sorts of games

Edited 1660086785
Hey all, DM with 20 years of experience looking to put together one or more custom games for players. One of the best rated DMs in Las Vegas Pathfinder Society and the Vegas gaming culture in general. I have nearly encyclopedic knowledge of the following systems: AD&D 2nd edition D&D 3.5 Pathfinder (Personal favorite) Mythic Pathfinder D&D 5th edition Pathfinder 2nd Edition Starfinder Call of Cthulhu D20 D20 Modern Star Wars D6 Fantasy Flight Star Wars (EoE/F&D/AoR) Savage Worlds (any setting) Paranoia Troubleshooters Judge Dredd Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea Fantasy Flight Warhammer 40k (Black Crusade/Deathwatch) Final Fantasy D20 Meanwhile, a list of other systems I have GMd in the past, but would need to refresh on: CthulhuTech Vampire the Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition Hunter the Reckoning Halo RPG Star Wars D20 Saga Edition Legend of the Five Rings 4th Edition Shadowrun 4th Edition Mechwarrior D&D 4th edition RWBY I also dabble in game design and have the following homebrew systems available: Pokemon D20 Megaman D20 Legend of Zelda D20 DOOM D10 system Devilman CHOOSING A GAME Essentially I want to run the game you want to play. I'll have a list of ready to play campaign selections at the end of this list, but if there's a campaign you would like me to create or a pre-made adventure path or module you would like me to run, respond with your ideas or game selection and I'll work with you to schedule a game. Picking a campaign I already have prepared will help you get into a game sooner, but I would love to hear inspired ideas and an inspirational one will have me more excited than any pre-made content. ABOUT ME I remember when I was about 8 years old my uncle bought me my first RPG: Star Wars D20. Ever since he ran a game I was hooked on the immersion and realism of tabletop games. After a 20 year battle of dealing with every kind of player and DM imaginable, trying out nearly every RPG you can think of, I come out a seasoned veteran, with a team of all-star players and DMs neither of which I'm ever short of. I figured, heck, if people are going to be lining up for my tables, I might try this newfangled nonsense of getting paid to do it. Besides, work/life responsibilities make it increasingly harder to justify playing just for fun anymore. My gaming really hit its stride when I found the local comic shop had D&D Adventurer's League. Already having loads of DM experience under my belt, I quickly became the dungeon master people would fight to have a spot with. Now, I'm not a HUGE 5e fan, in fact I used to think it was trash. I brought up the Pathfinder system to the table and one of the players, being very excited, exclaimed he was a 4-star Society DM and quickly put together Society play at the shop. This was the equivalent of RPG boot camp for all of us. The DM had a bit of an ego (what good DM doesn't?) the kind where you'd correct them on a rule and he'd act like he knew it all along or he'd invoke a strange rule that didn't exist or possibly carried over from his other experiences (such as AD&D 2nd edition rules on infravision) but he was still a rockstar of a DM who really took me to the next level and a lot of his custom rules I felt were awesome and very flavorful. I became utterly obsessed with RAW, because Pathfinder is a convoluted mess of RAW and I wanted to know the game perfectly and on a deeper level. Years later, I began playing with a few players that I had pulled from random parts of the globe to really push the game to its limits mechanically. Oh man, does it fall apart, all games do unfortunately if you go deep enough. From infinite simulacrums to infinite future sight, heavenly and hellish player-built bastions, we have thoroughly stress tested Pathfinder from nearly every angle, and through it came some of the harshest DM lessons that in my opinion has elevated me to my prime. I'm still obsessed with RAW for any game or system I learn, but I've also learned when to let go of it, and we can discuss before game how tightly we want to hold onto the rules. I'm perfectly fine with games that go off the rails, and I love testing my DM muscles with maintaining game cohesion and verisimilitude when this happens. I would describe my DM style as brutal but fair. Fun and comedy comes first and foremost, and I would much rather see you triumph than fail. I will never use homebrew crit fail rules unless you really want me to (Why does my level 9 fighter have 5% chance of dropping his weapon or stabbing himself?) I'm also a bit of an aspiring actor who loves doing character voices and swapping personalities on the fly. I love love love dungeons, and will put a lot of effort into mapping them out on Roll20 with multiple layers and dynamic lighting. I tend to prefer simulation and organic realism to what is considered balanced and fair, however I will sometimes run games in "tournament mode" where it's very gamified and you can almost imagine your xp like a score counter in the upper right corner of your eye. TABLE RULES 1. Absolutely no racism or bigotry of any kind, unless it's in character and agreed on with the table that you will be playing such a character. 2. Open to PVP and in-party drama, in fact I love this aspect of the game but obviously not for everyone. 3. Alert me of sensitive subjects (gore/drugs/sexuality/mental health) before game so that I may have your consent to run content. 4. If you are caught cheating it will most likely result in exile with no refunds, unless 100% of the group agrees otherwise. 5. Please correct me on the rules and try to help me keep track of everything that's going on in the battle. You're not clever and winning the game by hiding stuff from me or hoping that I forget that enemy was fatigued. It's nearly impossible to keep track of everything and I appreciate the help. 6. DM Rule Zero ends the discussion unless we agree beforehand that we are strictly using RAW. 7. No bashing other players for their choices, playstyles, or level of aptitude. 8. If I pull you aside for a private conversation about your attitude, don't take it too personally I'm just trying to keep the table happy. 9. Let me know how you feel about Power Gaming. I love power gamers but I don't want to mix power gaming with people who hate power gaming. 10. Fun is mandatory (kudos if you get the reference) Currently Prepped Campaigns: *Remember this is just what I have prepped at the moment. I can quickly prepare something else especially if it's prewritten material* Mythic Pathfinder - Wrath of the Righteous: This is my favorite campaign to run and I've done it again and again. The only official mythic pathfinder campaign, it tends to go flying off the rails pretty hard. If you've played the Owlcat Games version of that campaign, I just want you to know I freaking hate that video game for what it did to my poor child. Anyways, break the game as you take on a full-scale demon invasion from the Worldwound! Pathfinder - Reign of Winter: The white witches of the frozen north have begun terraforming the planet into a world of ice. Take on Baba Yaga and Rasputin as you travel the icy planes and eventually WWI Russia. Pathfinder - Serpent's Skull: Shipwrecked on a dangerous island, you soon find yourself in a race to find the corpse of the god of Serpents before it can be used to unite the serpentfolk. Pathfinder - Strange Aeons: You wake up as an amnesiac in an insane asylum halfway pulled into the dreamlands, nightmarish horror ensues. Easily the most nerve wracking and dangerous RPG adventure I've ever seen. Contains classic characters from the Lovecraftian mythos, but I'm not gonna say who. Pathfinder Society: Want to have an official character tracked in the akashic records of the Pathfinder Society? Each session will be a 5 hour one shot module to accomplish a mission within the Pathfinder society, as well as some interconnected stories and multi-session adventures. We can do it casually, or report all the progress to the Society so that you can have tournament legal characters to bring to conventions. Pathfinder - Skulls and Shackles: You find yourself gang-pressed into a pirate crew. Experience the horrible reality of being a pirate until you can't stand it any longer and take control of the ship. The longer this game goes on, the more it leads into sandbox mode where you can sail the seas of Golarion doing.. well whatever you want! Just don't sail too close to the Eye of Abendego... This game can support very large tables because pirate ships need crewmates. Paranoia Troubleshooters: You live in the futuristic city of Alpha Complex which sees no outside light, and governed by an AI, your friend, the Computer. You are a troubleshooter. You find trouble and you shoot it. You must hunt all traitors of Alpha Complex. Mutants are traitors. By the way you start as both a member of a treacherous organization and as a mutant with mutant powers. Your teammates might belong to the same treacherous organization, or they might be a hippie while you're a communist. This game is a slapstick comedy routine, and I highly discourage playing to win. AD&D 2nd Edition Tomb of Horrors Tournament Mode: AD&D 2e like you've never experienced it before. Dive into Gary Gygax's classic player-slaying dungeon in an arcade style crawl that made me laugh so hard reading it I had to run it. Take on a roster of 20 customizable characters straight from the original tournament event. If one dies, their loot drops in the dungeon and you select another who has a vision of how the previous character died. This campaign could lead into a much longer and deeper campaign featuring Acerak and Vecna. Pathfinder - MORTAL KOMBAT: Okay, I'll outright say it, I am one of the world's biggest Mortal Kombat nerds. This campaign has been in the works for years, but I've never found a group of players to play it because there's always the one person who thinks it's a dumb idea. This campaign is in the style of a Mortal Kombat sequel that takes itself very seriously and winds up being a sort of parody that lets the jokes tell themselves. The actual tournament is only a very small portion of the campaign. Pathfinder - My Official Homebrew Campaign: My official homebrew setting of Pathfinder has a lot of dominoes stacked and they never fall over the same way twice. In a world where peace reigns and mostly everything is controlled by the Adventurer's Guild, players are encouraged to seek individual forms of glory and conquest as they explore the setting and learn of the new Eldritch horrors that loom on the horizon. Beginning with you all waking up in a cave with no memories of your past, it quickly forces players to work together to discover the secret origins of their situation. PAYMENT DISCLAIMER This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $20/session paid via StartPlaying.Games, or through an $80/month subscription to my Patreon . Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Session Zero and everything leading up to and including the first session is free, however payment for session 1 will be collected afterwards if you wish to continue playing.
Do you have a Discord to talk through, or do you prefer Roll20 PMs? Either way, I am interested.

From Conversation with Celio: I'm a big fan of Irrisen and it's relationship with the Realm of the Mammoth Lord's and Linnorm King lands. In fact, I have a main Golarion campaign I've been working on for a few years that's almost like a pre written campaign hidden in the lore across the books. Are you familiar with the Relics of Kazavon? Basically he was a blue dragon cleric of Zon Kuthon that ruled an Era of Darkness, but was slain by a group of heroes. The dragons body became several artifacts and the location of these artifacts are detailed in the books (one of them prominently featured in another adventure path) but I'll tell you right now spoilers one of them is in Irrisen and for this campaign I almost want to require someone to play a potential unifier of the Linnorm King Lands. A huge part of the campaign is having to create an allegiance between the Linnorm Kings and Mammoth Lords to march on Irrisen together. There's also an artifact sword made by Abadar featured in one of the books that when wielded forces the wielder to seek out the Relics of Zazavon to destroy them so... shenanigans. I have two versions of this campaign. One where you play as the heroes hunting the Relics to destroy them, and one where you play as the Leuitenants of Zon Kuthons Black Crusade to retrieve the Relics and do something far more sinister. Send me a message if you would also like to play in this campaign!
I will be playing a Witch character for a offensive/utility spellcaster role so keep that in mind when thinking up your own characters!
The system we will be using for this campaign will be Pathfinder 2e We're choosing to play this campaign on the side of the heroes, so no evil alignments this time around.
Hi Justin, I have a group who have been playing together for 4 or 5 years now but we are looking for a new DM. We play every Tuesday from 8 to 9:30 eastern time. We lean towards the casual end of the spectrum in regards to playstyle and enjoy just playing though the 5e modules. If this is something you're interested in, and the time-slot works for you, let me know and I can discuss our needs further. Thanks!

Just posting it here until GM presumably makes a separate thread looking for players.
I've sent a PM / Discord invite your way, with great interest given you run several systems I enjoy!
Hello are you for hire to teach a new player the basics? Complete newbie, blank slate. We have no adventurers leagues in my area and I do not know how to get started, but would very much like to start learning.

2E in general is a really good game to start learning with
