I currently have THREE players that have formed a Banner House in the North, in fealty to House Stark. Looking for two or three more Heavy RP players to add to the cast. for a total of 6 players. Game runs every two weeks. Current players are very excited to get into Session 2 in 2 weeks. 27th of october. (We had 5, two players have been no call, no show for a month, and we are seeking replacements. We will hoold a Session Zero Restart on 20th of October. A Whisper of Steel " is a long-running LOW FANTASY campaign, using A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE: Game of Thrones RPG. This will be a "learn-to-play" game, and DM_Shroud (the Narrator) will teach the rules and various sub games like political interaction. The setting has already established itself as thematically charged with adult themes of sex, violence, and betrayal. I have run multiple campaigns of this on roll20 back when Game of Thrones was super popular about 7 years ago, multiple games per week. I am a professional GM that normally gets paid 25$ a person to run games, but this game will be FREE for the duration. The game schedule will be Thursdays 7 pm PST USA. Definitely seeking mature players (no dick jokes or making fun of other players) that are disciplined and responsible, due to the subject matter, which will involve non-graphic scenes of romance and seduction, etc via dice rolls and fade to black. None of the Mature scenes will be graphically depicted or described. We hope to have female players, so please don't seek offensive play (rape, etc.) or you will be ejected. Play will involve House on House, and Player on enemy House intrigues, plots, etc, all of that... in the drive to survive, as the Player House grows in power and influence and wealth. I am seeking and prefer long term players, but if you want to join to try it out you can with the idea that the longer you play and participate the more storyline your character will get. This game is Narrative style, and is all about skills, diplomacy, intrigue, dueling, tournaments, and charisma. I prefer long term players. New to roll20 or rpgs is okay. Play will be voice, English, via Discord. Cams are optional, by player preference if you want to use a cam or not. Some planning and stuff will be done via the forums. Beside the core book we're also going to use green ronin's chronicle RPG supplement out of strife, prosperity to allow us to build the town and develop the lands of the house. If you have an accent from Europe, wherever, it's okay. If you can understand enough to play, I'm good with you playing. I don't want language to be a barrier. We are a friendly group, so you MUST work to get along. Group decisions are key in a lot of things, and these will be roleplayed. Characters are not likely to die, but can, and it might be by enemy ambush or NPC treachery. If you cannot handle that, please don't apply. But by the same example it's a game and if you seek to murder the whole family the other players portray, you missed the point, and you are wasting the time I will put into this game. We're looking for maximum player enjoyment in playing a deeply immersive role in a setting that is very unforgiving of mistakes. I have been gaming since 1977. I have been on roll20 for a few years. I run games like this, One Ring, and Fiasco, all narrative style, that relies on the character and ongoing story. Seeking about two more players. If you want to get in on this, Let me know your thoughts, either below or via PM. Setting: Welcome to Westeros and A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying. Westeros is the creation of author George R.R. Martin, and it is a world of noble houses great and small, true and false knights armored in shining steel, lords and ladies resplendent in silks and furs, and the smallfolk who toil in the lands and holdings of the nobility. Westeros is composed of seven “kingdoms,” provinces that all swear fealty to the Iron Throne, but each has an ancient history as a kingdom in its own right. From the cold North where summer snows are all too common to the hot arid deserts of southern Dorne, and from the desolate and sea-swept rocks of the Iron Islands to the bustling capital of King’s Landing, the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros are filled with many colorful people and ripe with opportunities for wealth and glory. In this world, seasons last for years, not months, and family generations can be traced back for thousands of years to the Age of Heroes. Ancestral weapons may be worth more than a lordling’s only daughter, and castles may have flown a score of banners in their storied histories. Magic lives mostly in the myths and faded dreams of earlier generations. The learned maesters say that it died out a lifetime ago, but others say it still exists amongst the maegi and warlocks of the exotic eastern lands. SIFRP is about Machiavellian court politics, family alliances and enmities, the rise and fall of kingdoms, and the clash of armies. But it is also about honor and duty, family tensions, the responsibility of leadership, love and loss, tournaments, murders, conspiracies, prophecies, dreams, war, great victories, and terrible defeats. It’s about knights, both false and true—and it’s about dragons. The Story Sessions: The episodes that DM_Shroud (the Narrator) will convey are the tales of a Minor House of Westeros, beset on all sides by the politics and ongoing conflicts and warfare between the Canon Major Houses, other Minor Houses, banditry, and to a lesser extent, tension from the lower Banner houses and internal conflicts between house members. PLEASE NOTE: The actual campaign is designed to be an open-world sandbox with occasional tactical / battle elements (infrequent, but intense combat), heavy narrative elements, and lots of roleplaying. More designed for the actor/roleplayer style. Acting experience is not required to play, but players will be encouraged to fully immerse themselves in their characters. Player Agency will be paramount as the house decides how they're going to write their story choices into the book of History.
