Looking for people to join a long campaign set in Eberron,
welcoming experienced LGBTQIA+ friendly players who are 20 years old or
older (no mature content in the game, just the GM's preference, since I
am not young)
I prefer DMing for people who enjoy making and roleplaying
interesting characters, who listen attentively to others' words at the
table, both the GM's and other players'. In return I can promise paying
attention to your characters' backstories and making them really
involved with the world and what happens.
Unofficial content is allowed, I intend to share some books myself,
provided it is understood that I can still veto some things (which is
unlikely), and keep in mind we'll be using a version of gritty realism
rule for short/long rest, more info about that on Session 0. I intend to
discuss any house rules / additions to the game with the party and only
include them with the party's consent. The gritty realism thing is
something I'm really excited about, and I believe it fits the setting
really well, so unless it breaks things horribly for us, it's most
likely going to be a thing.
I expect the game to have about 70/30 roleplay/combat ratio
Character generation notes: all characters will begin lvl 3 and
possess a free starting feat. Your characters believe themselves to be
good people who care about their communities (the 'believe themselves to
be' is very intentional). We'll be spending session 0, among other
things, flashing out your characters' relationships with each other,
since the campaign runs upon the preposition that you've already known
each other for some time
Campaign Premise
When you decided to start a newspaper together, you promised yourself
and each other never to stray from your mission – to amplify voices of
those in Sharn who never get to speak. The passion for bringing those
kinds of stories forth and the understanding of their importance was
what brought you together in the first place, after all.
But competing with such established titles as Voice of Breland, Sharn
Inquisitive and, most of all, Korranberg Chronicle, is not easy, and
there’s a lot you’ll have to do to earn attention of people of Sharn.
Some more notes
I'm an experienced GM, but I've never run D&D, only played it, so the first few sessions are bound to be a bit awkward.
If you're interested in applying, please provide the following information:
1) Preferred name and pronouns, your (approximate) age
2) Your time-zone in the format of GMT + or -
3) A few words about your experience with ttrpgs
4) Are you familiar with Eberron setting? If yes, what is your
favorite part of its lore / something you really hope to see in the
campaign?
5) What's your least favorite part of Eberron setting (or just D&D in general)?
6) Discord handle
You can post it below, or direct message it to me.
