Can't Get Rid of Large Avatars

I typically have my Roll20 set to 'Names Only', however when I've logged on today on all my games they have reverted to 'Large' avatars again but the setting is now noted as 'names' (with a lower case 'n'). I've tried changing to any other settings but the Large avatars remain, I've tried different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE), I've tried clearing the cache and I've removed all plugins and nothing has made a difference. Has anyone come across this or have any ideas of other fixes I might try as I can't think of anything else to try.
It all seems to be working for me but I don't think I had any previous games set to Names Only to see if that's causing it.
I have the same issue. Changing the avatar to anything doesn't work (and I usually have it on Names Only). Can't recolor the macros at the bottom of the screen either, as they've reverted back to being just white.
I just logged in, and noticed the same thing... I don't use Roll20 for voice/video, and the avatars have been set to Names Only forever. Yet now I'm seeing large avatars, and can't get rid of them.
Same issue and its showing as "names" in the drop down.

I'm gonna report the same issue. Exactly as everyone above has stated (including my macros losing their color). I'm on mozilla firefox if that helps.

Same issue here. I don't use the Video function and I'm used to setting it to names only due to barely having enough screen space with the avatars up. Worse still, there seems to be no way to fix it through any workarounds. I tried setting it to another setting (normal) and then setting it back, doesn't work. Tried just setting it to normal again and then reloading, also didn't work, it just set the setting back to "names" with the avatars still visible.
I managed to reproduce the issue (Firefox 103.0.2, MacBook Air) by setting Chat Tech, on the Audio and Video tab of My Settings, to "None (no video/audio)." Minor difference: I get stuck on Regular, rather than Large, avatars. The issue goes away for me when I set it to "Roll20 Web RTC (Chrome + Firefox)" (the old chat tech). The avatar size is adjustable, as expected. (Incidentally, I still have "Others can hear or see" and "I can hear or see" set to "None," and, in fact I have disabled Roll20's access to my camera and microphone at the browser level--but I still have chat tech selected because not doing so tends to break avatar functionality in unpredictable ways.) The issue comes back when I set it to "Voice and Video Beta" (the new chat tech), this time stuck on Large avatars, as in Stem's report. For now, I can get back to Names Only (or my preferred avatar size, Small) by setting the Chat Tech to "Roll20 Web RTC (Chrome + Firefox)." I am concerned that this workaround will cease to be available once Roll20 transitions to the new voice and video tech.

Hey folks - We're working on a fix for this right now! We have every intention of it being functionality that exists with the beta and in the future. Will update here and in the Pro forum thread about the Voice & Video beta when fixed.

There is a Thread under Pro forum that may apply to this: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11039361/new-voice-and-video-beta-preview-for-pro-users Keep an eye on that thread too. I reported it in there.
Hey folks, this issue should now be resolved. Thanks for the reports!
Yup, resolved for me now. Thank you very much

Still having avatars set to Regular Size when loading in with it set to names only, but not being requested for video anymore. You can 'fix' it by flipping the video size settings back and forth, but not perfectly fixed yet. Refreshing requires you to re-'fix' it.
Thank-you for the fix, however, this brings up a new issue. The setting doesn't save. If you leave the game room and reenter, you have to move the setting to something else, then back to "names". This happens each time you either refresh or leave and come back.
Same here, it doesn't save the setting when you go back to "Names only". Also, my macros still don't have their color back, they're all still white...

BEFORE you could be set to WEBRTC and just those Buttons just set to "none" for being able to resize Avatar etc. With WebRtc OR the New Video Feature you can set it to whatever you like, Avatars stay large! (THIS IS A THING THAT SHOULD BE COMMUNICATED!!! NOT EVERYONE IS FOND OF THAT OR WANTS TO TRY THIS OUT!!!) YOU WILL LOOSE A LOT OF CASUAL PLAYERS TO THIS BS CHANGE! (NOT TALKING ABOUT THE FEATURE ITSELF BUT ABOUT THE "BUG" REGARDING AVATAR SIZING!!!)
Seems like they fixed the issue regarding the setting not saving. Thank-you, Roll20.

Thanks again everyone for the reports! As some of you have noticed, I can confirm we've deployed fixes for these issues: Player Avatar Size setting should now persist through refresh in a given game. Macro Bar Buttons' color setting should now correctly save and display A missing translation key for 'names' has been resolved and should correctly display "Names Only" in the dropdown

"No Data" is all I can select for ALL those Options!
