Hi I am an older player at 45 new to playing D&D, well played as 14 year old many years ago! But I have a reasonably grasp of the game having watched every episode of critical role to date. I am based in Scotland so running on GMT and can only play evenings really. Looking to play a dwarf so I can use the Scottish accent! Wasn't sure of jumping straight in to voice and video game but why the heck not! Looking to take part in a one shot with other newbies and ideally an experienced DM to steer us in the right direction. If all goes well would consider a campaign and regular group time permitting. Happy to play a reasonable fee for the one shot. As a fan of critical role I'd be quite keen to take part in a game in exandria maybe somewhere iv heard of through critical role as that would avoid the need to set the scene much well for me anyway. Anyone got anything along these lines coming up or would others like to join me and we can find a DM on here maybe? Looking forward to making a character up don't mind if it's level 1 or higher. Probably a dwarf fighter or whatever is simple to start with. Do players usually make up the character with the DM and other players or in advance iv no idea where to start?!
