Token downgrade on quality when zooming in

Hello, I recently uploaded a map to roll 20, it was large one (23 by 30) and to be able to see a good amount of it you would need to zoom out at around 55%. However I soon realized this was a problem when token quality dropped to the point where the token was barely recognizable. I've tried uploading different token sizes (240, 140, 70, and 35 among other sizes) Best one so far seems to be 70 and even then the image quality is really bad. I've also tried the size of the map along with the cell width but that just had the same results, is there any way I could maybe fix this problem or mitigate it? I really want the tokens to be recognizable, at least to a tolerable degree. Thanks in advance!

Hi GhostPaws117! Are your tokens saved as PNGs? they should keep quality better than the alternatives of jpg or gif. In general, tokens are saved at at least 140px width, giving you full resolution at up to 200% zoom. It makes no sense to save them at anything over 175px per grid unit, as that is the 250% zoom limit of Roll20. It is possible you might have been dealing with a caching issue, if the tokens were of sufficient resolution. If you don't see a reason they should have lost quality, try deleting your cache and forcing a refresh. Holding down the shift key while refreshing the page will usually do it.
Hi Keith, yes my tokens are saved as pngs. I tried saving them at 175 px and 140 px as well and they both appeared very pixelated at a 55% zoom. I cleared my cache and forced a refresh as you said, I think it looks a bit better but I'm not completely sure it could just be me. 70 px still seems to be the best but sadly it even at that its still pretty blurry. I forgot to mention I'm trying to make a 1 by 1 token.

Image caching is probably the issue, but it's a hard one to nail down because there are so many variables out of either yours or Roll20's control. Roll20 saves images on the server size at four different resolutions, in an attempt to serve you the most efficient size at a given zoom level. This is similar to sites like Google maps. It might be possible you are hitting a sour spot of magnification at specific zooms.  it might be helpful to post a screen shot at the magnifications that are giving problems, but in the meantime, you can also see if the problem persists in a private browsing window (eliminates most extension conflict issues) or a different browser (eliminates most browser setting issues). You could even try a different computer if you have one available (depending on how different a different computer, this can eliminate other less likely variables like OS, graphic card, ISP or connection).
Apologies for the very delayed response, I tried on a private browser and on a different one, same results. Anywhere from a 10% to 55% zoom looks pretty pixelated, especially when I compare the original image at the same size of the 1 by 1 token on a different window. I could post a screenshot if necessary, though it might just be roll20s compression or processing of the image considering how many things and file sizes I've tried, though I could be wrong.
