Yeah that's a great idea, gives a sense of drama and suspense. Most thieving type stuff is 'contested' in 5e. Pick pockets, for example, would be Dex(sleight of hand) vs. Wis(perception). Hide in shadow is Dex((stealth) vs. Wis(perception) or Int(investigation). The blind rolls will be great for that kind of stuff, and group perception or investigation checks....we just won't know how high we rolled, only 'what happens'. Very cool =)
i guess for slight of hand the DC for succes would be the passive perception of the target? same with stealth unless they are actaully looking for you

Righto...you could use 'active' perception by rolling if you are trying to find someone who is hidden, or even investigation, DM's discretion
I second Maya's emotion on the subject. Lol
This is how he gets your to participate in his cheating, Don't fall for it, you'll never make a good roll at a bad time. Ever.
Bravo on trying to convince the party that your so called "API script" that leads absolutely nowhere (I've seen your so called script) actually will help the party Great attempt on your half at messing with the whole party again. You only do this for your own enjoyment, you like watching people suffer. I've seen it with my own eyes.

As I told Wes in game chat: Stephen (GM): not bound by those rolls. So you will get to hear Ryan FLIP THE FUCK OUT from time to time. per him I pay $100 a year to troll good meaning players through the world.
Ryan's wrong but you've recruited all these good meaning, honest players... Again. get out of this campaign now unless you want to be fighting monsters with chocolate teapots and left handed screwdrivers We're all actors in HIS campaign, you don't ever have a choice with HIM around.
Sounds fun!

That's just Ryan's kender taunt going off....
Ewww. I allowed one of my players to run a kender pc .......once. One night, while the rest of the party slept, the little bastard got curious and horked the wizards spellbook. The wizard woke, saw the kender trying to read his spellbook, there was a 'heated' discussion, followed by a party-wide fist fight, followed by the kender being crispy-fried by a lightning bolt, which caused the entire cave complex to collapse on the party, effectively ending the campaign. Good times.
