A Game of Thrones now open!

Looking for a couple of roleplayers to play "A Song of Ice and Fire" ruleset. Next game is Sunday, August 31. English must be your first language, Americans preferred since I find that anyone outside of the country can actually do 3 a.m. games (despite how much they brag they can). Attendance is very important. Let me know if you need more information. I have been a Thrones GM a couple times and put a lot of work into the story : )
I would so be into this!!!!!!!!!!!
How often? And would you be up for teaching the ruleset?
Into it. Have read through the rules for this a few times. Have rolled up some characters and houses before to test it out. What time woudl the session be at and would you be doing a Home House and all that?
very interested ill have to get the rulebook and read it through if you are interested in having me
Win or die? That sounds rather unforgiving.
Yes please! more info please!
Knowing the time (with timezone) that you plan to run would be helpful. Is this a core SoIF game or homebrewed? How are you making it a Game of Thrones - more RP and intrigue, something else?
Oh wow I should post for players on here more often. Details coming!

So with the overwhelming response to this game, I feel terrible only accepting two players. I may create another Thrones game (I love GMing). Here's some details on this game: -Story takes place in the North. -House Ursal is a minor House that holds a position of power with House Stark. -Lord Byrus Ursal is a player character controlled by one of my regular players. -Campaign is based on the show rather than the books. I know there's not too much of a difference but the show allows for a bit more flexibility. -The game is currently in the first book. They have just prevented Bran Stark's paralysis although they could not stop him from breaking his leg. This means Bran Stark will not be paralyzed but will likely have a couple months to recover. If you think this is minor, you might want to rewatch the shows and think about how much a small detail like that changes things... -Campaign will continue until one of two things happen: your House is destroyed and all family members are killed, captured, or sent to the Wall; or each player's personal goal AND the House goal is met. I guess we could also quit when we get tired of it. -I might have all players play freelance until they've played a couple times. What you need to know to play: -You need the book "A Song of Ice and Fire: A Roleplaying Game". It works off of rolling a bunch of D6's and has Abilities/Specialties/Flaws/Benefits/Destiny Points. -Apply directly to my campaign listing at https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/16337/a-game-of... -Do not apply if you can't manage regular attendance. We play every other Sunday at 10 a.m central time (Texas) -Do not apply if you are outside the United States. I hate doing that but you're lying if you tell me, "Oh sure I can play; it will only be 3 a.m. here." -When you apply, include a character idea or two for what you want to play. Also include a little about yourself (I've got two great players and friends so we like to get to know each other a bit), your roleplay experience, how familiar you are with the Thrones universe (rate yourself on scale of 1-10), how familiar you are with Ice and Fire, and anything else you can think of. -I have the book if you need it but honestly if you don't have it you're going to be bumped under those who do. -My other two players and I will choose a couple guys to play and see how it works out. It might seem really nitpicky but I just want everyone to have a great time. I'm looking for casual RPers with a good sense of humor, a love for Thrones, and have at least read the books or seen the shows. Feel free to ask any questions. If you're not picked, don't worry! I'm thinking about starting a second game with multiple Houses : )
Oh also if anyone else wants to start a Thrones game, I would love to be a player. Maybe people in this forum would like to get a game going?
In response to- Kavrick : We play biweekly Sunday morning games at 10:00 a.m. (though this time could shift a bit, I'd rather not). I'm all for helping you with rules, and I'll admit this system takes a little getting used to, but you need to know what you're doing before you sign up. Tom: (See above for time). You would play a freelance character for a bit and then join the current Player House. I would also be open to you having your own Player House but only if you show that you have a good understanding for this game. Spazz451: We use the "A Song of Ice and Fire" ruleset (bunch of 6-sided die rolls). The campaign varies on intrigue, combat, and warfare. If I had to rate it, I'd say it would be 30% combat, 60% intrigue/roleplay, and 10% warfare. This would change based on your actions of course and I love this system due to the intrigue gameplay or "conversation combat". A weak-willed alchemist, baker's boy, lowly guard, or even a criminal can be just as useful (if not more) than a skilled Lord or murderous fighter.

I play a murderous fighter with the flaw "Cruel Insanity". So far I've saved a young boy from dying (Well, I thought the fall was going to kill him), becoming known as the "Savior of Saffron" for having a a few pounds of saffron on my back when I intercepted and broke the fall. I got an awkward hug from the mother. Man, I just want my lord to handle the intrigue while I kill things. I recently got mugged by a couple of prostitutes (Which I suspect are the GoT-equivalent gypsies) who I now plan on exacting my short-term vengeance on. My mid-term goal is to find a bear, tame it, train it, and then ride it. Long-term goal, ride the mid-term goal into battle and kill a dragon. Anthony keeps telling me there are no dragons and that makes me apparently crazy in the eyes of everyone else in the setting but I DON'T BELIEVE HIM. DRAGONS ARE REAL AND I WILL FIND THEM.
That's Barry/Rathael. He has problems.
