I am looking for a 5 th player/character to join
our weekly D&D 5e Saturday night game. This is
a fairly open world, long term campaign (1+ year(s)) that just started about 4
weeks ago. One of the other plays got
rescheduled for work and had to drop. What I am looking for: 1.
1. Roll20:
We play using Roll20 as our primary VTT. 2.
2. Discord w/Webcam: I do require a Webcam as I need to see my
players (it’s as close to playing at a table as I can get right now). Unfortunately, the webcam is a must for me. 3. 3. Coming to have fun: I picture my job as a GM/DM as a set designer. I paint the background that the characters
are creating through role-playing for me. 4.
4. Having fun:
We are playing a cooperative role-playing game. This means everyone at the ‘table’ should be
having fun. Notes about my GM/DM style:
I tend to make a lot of stuff up based on the character interactions/back
story. I also play in a very (can I
repeat ‘very’ about 10 times here?) Brothers’ Grim dark world. I am not big into horror, but bad things and
bad decisions of the characters/offered to the characters tend to make the characters
ask “how do we get out of this hole we dug ourselves in” over a long period of
time. For example: In a previous game, a Night Hag offered a
female palladin a living dragon’s egg that she could raise as her own and eventually
ride into battle (yes, I would allow a palladin to eventually ride a dragon if
she took the deal). All she had to give
up was her first-born child to the Night Hag.
As the Night Hag said, if you do not take this deal, I am having an omelet
for dinner tonight. I do ask the players to play "Heroic, Good" type characters. Evil long term campaigns are extremely hard to run and tend to end poorly with party implosions. In addition to the darker themes, there will be some blood/gore/violence and some sexual themes (I tend to "fade to black" before the sexual themes get too descriptive) If you are interested, please PM me.
