[Long Term][Sandbox][Open World][Free][D&D 5E] Dungeon Master seeking players for a long term campaign in the Ravnica setting.

Hi there! I'm Juras. An experienced DM of about seven years looking for a dedicated group interested in a long term game in the Ravnica setting. I've used roll20 for about three to four years now. And previously I did in person table DMing for the years prior. I have run long term games lasting years before on this website, all of which have been completely homebrewed worlds and countries. But, I seek to enter a Plane that I have always loved, and DM for it Long Term. This is an Open World game, so expect to leave the Tenth District at times and explored homebrewed sections of the city itself. I hope for a game to last a few years, and hopefully gain great friends in the experience. This will be a level 3-20 campaign . My game takes place long before the War of the Spark and dives into both canon lore of Ravnica, and my homebrewed stories that are taking place on the plane. I wish to craft a story where my player characters rise in the guilds of their choice and personally effect the city to it's core as they get more strength and renown. And I want to forge a group of characters that will become friends on a journey in their home. More details can be found on the Listing page in Rules & Information here. And please apply there and follow the instructions if you are interested! https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/346212/ravnica-journey-into-legend While there is far more detail there, my rules are simple common sense that most of us have heard already. God-modding, No toxicity, etc. There will be an interview once you follow the application process that a time can be set up for. I hope to hear from you!
How essential is knowledge of the world setting? I've never played magic or read any books. I would like to play though.
I would say treat it like any Dungeon's and Dragons setting, though it helps a lot to know the world your entering. If you go to my Rules & Information section in the link. There are some very fun video references that will help you understand what you are getting into. I would also recommend Web DM's Ravnica review to understand the bonuses players get from entering the setting.
I am very interested. Would you mind if we chatted over Discord? I always ask questions before the game starts. This does seem amazing, and I would love to chat a little with you about ideas, My discord is ReVORG#8575
