Witcher multiple 3d dice when rolling through the character sheet

Hi everyone, multiple 3d dice are rolled rolled, whenever we roll something through the character sheet in our witcher game. It's three dice, 2 decoys and one with the real value :-D. No such problem with the advanced dice roller or in other games/systems. Has anyone experienced this as well/has a fix or does anyone know who the creator is or where this information would be remarked? Thank you very much.

This is a common and recurring problem, and there's no way to avoid it if using 3d dice. The problem is because rolltemplates in character sheets often need to roll extra dice for their functionality, and while these dice are always rolled, they aren't displayed in the chat unless they are relevant. But 3d dice don't recognise that difference - they display all dice rolled, whether or not the roll template displays them. This can only be fixed by the roll20 devs, which considering how long the situation has existed, isn't going to be fixed any time soon. You could also choose not to use those rolltemplates, but the output wont look as nice and wont display all the information you are used to.
Thank you for your knowledge, before I posted this topic, I asked roll20 for support. Their answer was: "...Roll20 does not create all of the character sheets on our site; most of them are actually created by community members! This is one of those cases and, as such, there isn't much we can do for issues that are occurring or changes that need to be made to the sheet directly concerning the performance of the dice rolls. If you are having an issue with the sheet or want to see an improvement made, I would highly suggest you post to our Character Sheet Forum . Most of the character sheet authors tend to frequent that space, so there's a good chance they can help you figure out what's going on or provide a fix." Well, let's hope it will be fixed eventually.

That sounds like a boiler-plate reply. I wouldnt expect any changes. Also the problem isn't a community member problem - it's a systematic roll20 problem. It's a failure in the way their system works, and only they can fix it. The creator of individual sheets can avoid rolling hidden dice, but if they do that, they are significantly reducing functionality. Actually thinking about it, with the new custom roll parsing, they might be able to avoid this problem, but that would need a significant code rewrite. So maybe pester the sheet writer and see if they are inclined to try to solve the problem.

You could definitely avoid the problem with CRP, but as you said this could be a significant amount of work depending on the sheet. I mean.... the paid devs haven't been resourced to do it for the flagship 5e sheet, which is hardly a shining example....

Having done some sheets that avoid this; it's also a major PITA to do as it requires pretty complex roll templates even with CRP and winds up having the user sending multiple messages.
Thank you all for the insight. This is a major bummer. The excitement of seeing the dice roll is so important.
