The next day it was decided that we would go and deal with Samba's interloper. We tried to travel as quietly as possible but as Wrendells generosity got the better of him we ended up with a band of beggars coming along with us. We reached the Adelphi Lounge community centre where Sambas followers had set up their worship hall but the Apostle Bi-Ran had already gone. Samba made another inspiring speech about his primacy and then we left. Our main priority was still to help out the Gravebinders so this issue would have to wait. Then things took a very disturbing turn.  We were marching back through town when we were met by a squad of mercenary guards for a city noble.  Caravan Guildmaster Armani stood behind his guard and called out to Samba. "You've got a lot of nerve showing up back here after what you pulled!" Samba looked a little shaken as he started to say "Hey. That was just a misunders..." "Silence INFIDEL. I will hear nothing more from your slime filled mouth. My sister lies dead because of you and as you are the one responsible for her murder you must also face justice here and now." The caravan master dropped his face into his hands in grief then from above us a shadow moved swiftly and true. Before we even knew what had happened the assassin had struck and was climbing a wall while Samba lay dying in the street. I rushed forward creating a bulwark to prevent the mercenaries from pressing forward. While Wrendell revived Samba, Nickolai and Strom caught up with the fleeing assassin.  Over the back of the enemy line another figure appeared. The heretic Bi-Ran stepped forward and sent a cloud of fear over the battle sending everyone into a panic. I managed to hold the line for enough time to give my allies the chance they needed to deal with the skirmishers that jumped into the fight from side streets. Wrendell flew above the fight to get a good line of fire to the back lines. "You'll pay for this insult, you puny weakling!" and firing off a holy blast, shoots the Guildmaster down. "Take that!" Everyone on the street audibly gasps as the guildmaster falls. "He killed the master. Noooo, It can't be so!" The next few moments were a blur. The guards kept fighting until several of them fell and their fire went out, the rest making a hasty getaway. Meanwhile Nickolai focused fire on Bi-Ran who was soon lying dead on the corner. The now revived Samba ran over to the dying guildmaster and in a gesture of forgiveness healed him.  "Please, guildmaster, listen to reason. I loved your sister and her death is never far from my mind. I know you still feel anger but believe me when..." "ENOUGH YOU DOG!" screamed Armani as he lunged forward putting his hands around Samba's neck. The two of them fell in a pile on the street. The crowd was starting to get aggressive and the sounds of whistles and alarm bells could be heard in the distance. "We need to go, Now." said Wrendell. The guild master was picked up and held back by his surviving guard as we gathered our wits and left the scene. Strom got us back to the tavern through alleys and shortcuts in time to pack our belongings but the city watch were still on high alert and hot on our heels. Our safe escape from the city would be difficult. I uttered a prayer of luck and travel to my mistress Rava.
