Shifting

So i got 2 players in my 5e campain. One of them is a shifter and the other is a were-boar. We have simply used 2 character sheeths for each and switched between them back and forth, but i know that there is an easier way than what we are doing, does anyone happen to know what this easier way could be?

If this is in a game with access to Mod scripts (Pro), then yes, there is a script called Wild Shape(?) which does this. Otherwise, the technique you are using is valid. You could keep both tokens on-screen with the inactive form dragged to the side somewhere. This would allow the player to use the baseline sheet for things that don't change (any class or race abilities, certain ability score checks, etc.) and use the active token for combat actions and things specific to that form. It would also keep from messing up the initiative tracker if the switch were to occur in the middle of combat.
