Oriel College

This time Hera's response comes more quickly. Abort. Let her go. Do nothing to suggest that you might harm her and stay out of the shadows. We'll discuss this in college.

Aubrey rolls her eyes hard, which is all she texts back — a small emoji of a face rolling its eyes. "Ugh I had a friend I thought you'd want to meet but like, who you'd totes like but like, they're a little nervous so? Guess not."  Rubbing her temples, she pushes back from her chair and stands. "Well Rae-rae, I really do  wanna check out your flat but like, I need to do some other stuff first this evening, tradge. Go back home why don't you? I'll text in a bit when I'm free, yeah?" Turning to leave, she instead turns back once more, "And like, legit, with what you told me, you have nothing to worry about from the circle? Big misunderstanding kinda stuff, obvs." With a wink, she doesn't give the girl a chance to respond, disappearing back through the door of the JCR and rapidly making her way across campus to Hera's, anger building in her the whole time. Rae is visibly crestfallen as Aubrey quickly departs, standing in sync with the young woman and reaching out for her. "Oh-Ok, text you later!"  Following her close friend's advice, Rae makes her way back to her flat, desperately hoping that she hadn't done something to offend Aubrey. Returning to her bedroom, she lays herself to rest for the evening. with the assurance that all will be well. (Continued in Cowley)
Michael had been watching the two vampires interact. The distrust, dislike, and aggression had been evident in their body language. Then when Raziel had gotten up to leave, Aubrey's presence had filled the room and crashed over him.  The Mehkat had sat back down, an expression of admiration on her face. He realized how awesome Aubrey was, how carefully she had set up Raziel for her fall, and how good she looked. Not that she hadn't always; he just hadn't paid attention. But Michael also remembered how Liam had controlled him just a few days ago, and he quickly made his way out of the JCR.  Now waiting at a distance outside, he watches Aubrey walk out alone. He waits a while and then texts her: That was nicely done, Aubrey. It seems you didn't need me after all.
Michael wanders around, and finds himself staring at the Oriel College chapel when his phone vibrates. He reads the message from Aubrey.  Were you watching us?? Nevermind, anyway I think I’m good for now though so like, thanks for all the help <333 Michael considers writing about all the time he spent hunting Raziel down online and then chasing her cellphone signal back and forth across town. He grins wryly at the stain glassed windows of the chapel, says, "God, grant me patience," and then replies.  I did see your rendez-vous. I had mentioned I was watching her.  I am glad that worked out for you. I am still interested in hearing what happened last week when you have a chance.
