I am looking for a 3.5e group that i hope would do weekly sessions and i don't mind if it is a homebrew campaign or not. I don't mind being interviewed before joining to be sure if i am okay to play with the rest of the group.
Any interested in a Pathfinder 1E set in the world of Conan? We play every other sunday from 6 to 9pm EST. Game is high grit, RP and storyline driven.
There are many that are the same, some different and some that have different names but the same class. they avoid calling alot of the thigns the same for legal purposes. The third party stuff often tends to be overpowered or off balanced vs regular classes
Looking at both systems and having played them for years, I usually play either system but I prefer the feats from the PF system over the 3.5 even though 85% are the same feat under a different but similar name
When it comes to games, I prefer to go high grit low fantasy as it makes the character stronger and less dependent on equipment and magic items. In the Conan setting, the spellcasters tend to hit the fighter types with buffs when combat starts, then they go all evocation on the bad guys
When I started my game, it seemed more players prefered PF over 3.5 so I went with 3.5. I tend to use core classes and the Conan races. keeps it basic and balanced.
The core classes are the same between the two except the feats and a few different bonuses. The two are compatable. You could actually use a 3.5 in PF and vice versa. I like the 3.5 fighter but the pf cleric. the 3.5 fighter getting feats every level really makes a huge difference! People who play 5e dont know what they are missing!!!
