Hello! I'm Jacob (also known as Jonesy). I'm looking for a long term campaign to join. I've been playing D&D 5e for about 4 years now as a player & a DM. Recently, I've been running a weekly campaign, but I would like to join another game as a player. Content-wise, I'm looking for a game like the Lord of the Rings movies: a lot of action but without swearing or a lot of mature content. I like both combat and roleplaying and would like to play a game with a mixture of both or one that leans towards RP since most games I've played in the past have been combat focused. I'd also love a long term campaign so I can go deep into the long-form storytelling. In terms of what game, if it's D&D 5e, I'd prefer a high fantasy setting, but I'm open to other types of fantasy too. I'm also interested in learning a Sci Fi system. I've played Starfinder once before and loved it, but I'm open to learning a different sci fi game too. For availability, I am free all day Monday and then 8am to 2pm CST Tuesday through Saturday. Sundays are a definite no since that's when I run my current game. About me, I'm a rules-oriented player. I love looking through the rules of whatever game I'm playing to find fun synergies and interactions. Before you start yelling "RULES LAWYER!" know my first priority is to have fun and create a character I know I'll enjoy playing. While I do try to make characters that are good mechanically, I don't try to make them overpowered or gamebreaking. I'm used to playing 5e mostly rules as written but I am fine with homebrew rules and content; I'd just like whatever rules that are used to be used consistently. If you have any questions for me, feel free to send me a dm. Thanks!
