Improving to 3d VTT before they are left in the past.

Many new and very impressive VTTs are coming out such as Talespire, wizards of the coasts One DnD, and Joe Manganiello’s ARcana. Roll20 has a solid foundation for its VTTs but I suggest that they strongly consider moving the direction of 3d type games such as these listed above. 
Perhaps an option of or a separate 3d version would be the better route than converting. Otherwise they will run the risk of losing users who have no desire to use a 3d VTT such as Talespire or the VTT Wzards of the Coast is making (Not One D&D as that's the name of the next edition, not the VTT they are making).
Yes having both or a choice would be wise. Talespire is absolutely amazing and some of the others above have promise. It would be great to see Roll20s version as it has the backing to be better than all of them if they put their minds to it. 
while not crucial, having 3d, elevation, etc is far more important than lighting or animation
