Using API to activate animated token on attack roll?

Title is pretty much self-explanatory.

Assuming I have an animated Token (using .WEBM format) of a character with a gun. Animation is a muzzle-flash from firing it. I can stop it from looping easily and then play with just "Play" button.

But can I use API in some form to automatically Play the muzzle-flash animation when Player presses attack button on the Sheet?

Would very much be grateful for some assistance in that question! ^.^

Mod scripts currently do not have a way to start and stop animations on .webm graphics.
