Hey guys and gals. I'm looking for players to start a new group in Legend of the Five Rings system. I am an experienced DM and I'd love to introduce beginners to the game. Legend of the Five Rings is a samurai-themed game of honor and intrigue, set in a fantasy world of nature spirits and demons from the Shadowlands. If you'd like to play a shinobi infiltrating heavily guarded palaces, outspoken courtier weaving a web of lies during official dinners, spiritual shugenja summoning power of the kami, a trickster fox spirit or a grizzled demon hunter, this is a game for you. I would like to play with discord voice chat. I live in Europe but I am pretty flexible with my schedule so I might be able to play with people from overseas as long as the connection is stable. I would prefer to play on weekday mornings honestly, but I can adapt within ~09:00-22:00 CEST as long as we agree to one time for weekly games and stick to it. I don't like big groups -- 3-4 players is what I'm aiming for. My games are usually 3-hours long. I really recommend L5R system for all the people who consider DnD too combat-oriented and lacking social conflict rules. From my experience, I can also say it's been a very good system for my friends who sometimes struggle with being charismatic yet want to play "the face", the robust diplomacy mechanics allowed them to fall back on definitive rules and game mechanics when they couldn't find the right words to say.
