We caught our breath in the tomb of the Ghul KIng and had a good look around.  The room was filled with ancient family treasures from the family who created this place long ago. Although valuable, most of the treasures would be considered sacred and not to be taken, though I was quite taken by an odd trinket left to one side. An eversmoking bottle could be quite useful sometimes but as I tried to secret it away Nickolai spotted me and made me put it back. Wrendell did find a clay jar which appeared to contain the dried remains of the original Ghul King. It still had an air of evil about it and we thought it best to destroy it as well. Before we had time to discuss how best to do such a thing Wrendell had smashed it with his hammer releasing the spirit from inside and another battle had to take place. After we were all ready we decided to leave the crypt and return to the gravebinders and let them know the good news. While walking back through the Necropolis we came across the Troll grave digger who noted that there seemed to be a change, as if a dark cloud had finally lifted. The lady back at the Hall of Grave binders was very thankful that we had rid her family crypt of the resident evil and rewarded us with a dark book. The book contains rituals to disguise us while in the underworld. "I would love to take some time to talk about this further but there seems to be an issue. While you were gone someone came around looking for you. They said it was urgent that your whereabouts be known. Is there something I should be informed of?" "That was just a misunderstanding back in Siwal." said Samba. "Nothing to worry about." But no sooner had he said this than there was an untimely knocking on the door. We all rushed into hiding places around the room as the gravebinder stalled at the door. "Oh blast this! It's important." and the person outside used some magic ato walk right through the door. "Sorry for the rudeness but I must get in. I know they're here." GULP. "My Queen, Urzula, has sent me to assist." At the name Queen Urzula we were slightly relieved and slowly reveal ourselves. This newcomer says he works for the Queen and can use his portal magic to help us reach our goal. He tells us about some intriges of the underworld. Narrasil the not quite dead is a rival Ghoul Lord who has been hiding for a long time and waits to upset the current overlord, Tondrill the Bonebreaker. "Seek out his allies, they may be associated with insects." The mage takes us back to Siwal where we hide out in his home while preparations are made for us to open a door to the Shadow road. On our way back to the fountain square where the door is our disguises are uncovered and we have to make another hastey dash through the streets to escape. We arrived in a large cavern where a river of red washed through a maze of stalactites and stalagmites. It was pretty slippery and dark as we stumbled our way to a trail around a large blood red pool. "Now where do we go? I don't see any signposts." said Wrendell. While we investigated the nearby area we heard sounds of speaking and as we investigated closer we found a Kobold and a Darakhul. Nickolai made the first approach but Wrendell did most of the talking. The Kobold introduced himself as Gerro, a merchant from a place called Lillyford or Lillyfoot.  He went on to tell us that we were in a place called The Pillars. He gave us directions to his native Lillyfoot and also to a place known as the Pit of All Flesh. Without being too obvious of our intentions we asked him about Ghoul Lord Narrasil. "I knows nufink about this Narrasil these days. Just a legend. Yous best talk to the Derro. Theys in a cult that venerates old Nerrasil. Da Cult of da Wiverd And. Don't know where you might find them though, ya usually find few in the Pit of All Flesh. Best go there if thas what yee seek." So we set off for the Pit. The journey was mostly uneventful, only crossing paths with a few ghoul travellers. Before we could get into the Pit of All Flesh we would need to cross through a check point. The issue being that we needed travel documents. It seems that folk here carry papers of office to allow entry to places. We had a rather ammusing encounter where Samba, our leader, became enraged at Nickoloai our guide who forgot to bring the document pouch. We had to resort to more underhanded tactics of picking the pockets of other unwarey ghouls to procure the necessary documents. Documents in hand we proceeded to enter the settlemt outside the Pit.  We first headed to the inn to get off our feet and rest. The place was foul smelling and the drinks looked like blood. On offer were Kobold fingers as snacks but my living companions didn't seem that hungry anyway and only Nickolai got a drink. After a short time we were approached by an attractive but pale female. She seems to be able to see through our disguised appearance and asks only for a "taste" of blood. Nickolai was keen to oblige and we retired to the nearby pleasure den where they sated their needs. The vampiress told us about some derro that would be fighting in the Pit but to try and rescue them would be foolish indeed and that we would no doubt end up food for the Pit Boss. She didn't know specificly where the Cult of the Withered Hand might be found but did know that there were caverns nearby infested with insects. We decided to have a look in these caves first before trying anything too foolish in the settlement.
