Macro input changed by itself

Sorry if this is a query that's already been resolved for someone else. I've been using a custom macro for the Witcher TRPG (all credit to reddit user Dr_Manuka for writing it) that lets you select which critical hit you scored, without having to open the book and trawl through the tables - just a series of drop-down options, basically. This was working fine until today, when I've gone to roll a critical and it's giving me the wrong option. So instead of showing the critical level in the drop-down list, it's now only showing hit location. When I select a hit location, it opens the next drop-down list for hit location (which is right). It's like the macro has started skipping the first drop-down list, basically. I haven't done anything differently, I haven't added or removed any other macros or content, if I create a new game and copy/paste the macro into it it works fine. Does anyone know why this has happened and how to fix it without literally starting from scratch by creating a new game?
What is the macro code? Where is the macro stored/located? (On the Collections tab or on a Character sheet?)
It's on the Collections tab. I've tried moving it to a character, still having the same problem. I've also tried deleting it and re-adding it from scratch, copying the entire game, and creating a new game - looks like the entire thing has given up. As I said, it's worked fine for the past few months, including up until yesterday. A couple of old posts on here suggested checking the api scripts, it's currently reading error downloading scripts (probably no scripts exist for this campaign). ?{Critical Wound level? |Simple (7-9), ?{Roll 2d6 |2-3 (Limb L), &{template:default} {{name=Sprained Leg }} {{Bonus Damage=[[3]] }} {{Effect=The blow sprained your leg, making it difficult to walk and maneuver. So I copied the macro from another game in which I'm a player, added that as a player ability, and added that to the macro bar, and that one works. If I put the same code into the collections then it doesn't work. If I take the code from my game and put it as a player ability, it doesn't work. I guess I've found a solution, even though it's stupid and doesn't make sense.

You probably used HTML entities when you initially constructed it. However, Collections Tab macros should not have HTML entities in them because the next time you open it they will resolve and your macro will break.  My suggestion is to make a Macro Mule (character specifically for the purpose of storing Macros), rebuild the macro in the macro mule's Ability macros with the needed HTML entities.  Then, call the Ability macro from the Collections tab macros.
