Player ribbon moves, but player view does not

I'm finding that, when I move the Players ribbon, the players are not moving to the new map :( They end up seeing a black rectangle at best, and so I have to link the map in discord which defeats the whole purpose of using Roll20.  This happens when using the dynamic lighting feature, and also when I have it disabled, and also after refreshing the page. (The view changes for me, the dm, but not for the players)  

My guess is you have them set individually to the page. Please supply a screenshot of the page toolbar to confirm.  If this is the case you can drag the players avatar to the ribbon and it will merge them with the ribbon (ie: not be separate from the ribbon). 

I believe to return them to the ribbon, you must drag their tiny avatar from the page thumbnail, not from the big avatar. But I could be mistaken. Here is the documentation of the feature.

I was surprised by that in particular in conjunction with the Teleport-Mod. Dragging them over individually solved the issue for me.
