I've been playing around with a one-shot idea that I've psuedo ran a couple times as back up funsies when not everyone could make it to a normal session. It's a strictly combat (no roleplay, backgrounds don't really matter) see-how-long-you-can-survive style game that ramps up in difficultly as the players also find ways to get stronger. I decided to go with level 5, but to keep power levels somewhat similar across the board (to begin with) everyone has to have at least a 13 in each attribute after point buy, racial bonus, and ASI increase from level 4. Sorry my fellow min-maxers, but I don't want anyone to stick out too hard at the start, and this was the best way I could think of to remedy it.
