How to add Homebrew schools of magic for the spell type selection in spell list?

I have encountered problems with the selection of the type of school of magic a spell comes from when I adding it manually in the spell list. The problem come from me finding new homebrew spell options for my characters but when i checked the school of magic (spell type), I found that it wasn't on the selection of school of magic on the sheet. I need to know if you need a macro or not (but it seems obvious that I'll need it). If it needds a macro, can someone help me do it?
Which character sheet are you using?
The D&D5E one why you ask?

nexover n. said: The D&D5E one why you ask? To answer a question like this we need to know which character sheet. Unfortunately your answer is not specific enough, there are multiple D&D 5e sheets.  Could you post a screenshot of your character sheet so we can identify which one you are using?

To clarify, different sheets handle roll20 data differently. The syntax of a macro can vary widely because of this. It might also help to elaborate on the details. How do you choose the school of magic choice? Are you talking about filtering in the compendium tab? On the sheet somehow? As Gauss says, a screenshot, particularly of where you are having an issue can help clear up a lot of ambiguity.
I didn't know there are different types of the character sheet in 5E. I'll send a Screenshot right away

Using the drop-down menu there is no way to put a different school other than the options presented. Sorry.  However, you can create a custom macro for those spells.  The best method to do this: 1) create your spell normally, use a placeholder school of magic.  2) Click on the spell name to cast it 3) On the chat tab, click on the chat box and hit the up arrow 4) Copy the spell's code. It should look something like this:  @{Rena|wtype}&{template:spell} {{level= Transmutation cantrip}} {{name=Thaumaturgy}} {{castingtime=1 action}} {{range=30 feet}} {{target=See text}} {{v=1}} 0 0 {{material=}} {{duration=Up to 1 minute}} {{description=spell text here}} {{athigherlevels=}} 0 {{innate=}} {{savedc=@{Rena|spell_save_dc}}} 0 @{Rena|charname_output} 5) Paste that into an Ability macro 6) Replace the bolded section with the name of the custom school.
Thanks I wil try it other time because when the job calls you have to answer even if you don't want to
