The characters likely come from a variety of backgrounds, factions, and statuses within their former ships’ hierarchies. A character may have been a pirate to begin with, but could just as easily have been an officer aboard a frigate of the mighty Karelagne Empire, or a privateer flying the flag of the mercantile Kingdom of Ayris. Separated from their former factions, these characters begin a new life of piracy aboard a salvaged ship, lured by the promise of adventure, fabulous wealth, and possibly even revenge against the faction that lured them into a doomed battle in the first place. A Tale of Piracy and High Magic on the rolling astra seas, this campaign will see you through 1st to 13th lvl in a realm of high fantasy, seafaring piracy. Portals from the Elemental Planes bring winds that drive ships across the starry sea and rain that nourishes the verdant foliage brought from the worlds on the Material Plane. The expanse is full of pulsing nebulas and glimmering light, as well as creatures and plants made of tarstuff. It beckons with the beautiful, the unsettling, and the promise of adventure. This game comes with New character creation options for the environment as well as new mechanics to explore the sea of starlight. Welcome I've been a DM for a few years now and DM several Campaigns throughout the week. As this is my full time job I take great pride in making sure my players and friends have a fulfilling roleplaying experience. I encourage free-thinking and creativity within my games and will often do what I can to help you achieve what you wish to do even if it means bending the rules as written or flavouring something. This isn’t always possible but I do my best to give that freedom and allow you to do what you do. I strive to always do my best and be prepared for every game I play, so expect battle maps, music and ambiance as well as everything that is available. If I don’t have something that you’re looking for I am willing to get it, or at minimum finding a way to get it to you. WHY PAY FOR D&D? The simple answer is commitment. As a player who used to find game after game that was free to play i found that so many times the games would only play once or twice before disbanding. Paying for the DM helps with that commitment by giving everyone a reason to show up at the sessions they are spending money on. Every beloved Hobby has a cost. Collectables, sports, video games, there is always a cost. Sessions and requirements This time is relatively flexible based on what works best for everyone but will be set when we reach session 1. Please make sure that if you are unable to attend a session, if you can, that you let me know before hand. I understand that life can get the best of us, but as long as it is possible to do so, please do. Payment Each session, per week, will cost $15 USD. Payment will be transacted through paypal only. Please try to pay for your invoice at least a day before the session. Payment for a missed session will not be refundable if you do not notify us at least 2 hours before the start of the session, emergencies are obviously exempt from this time limit. Just message me privately when you can. On the occasion that I have to miss a session and you have already paid the payment will carry over to the next session. Our first session together will be free. This Session will be a typical session 0, where we will be able to discuss what we are looking for, create our characters and get to know one another a little. Any questions you have can be brought up here, or feel free to message me at any time. I am normally around. Tipping is entirely up to you. I’d appreciate it a lot, but it is not necessary.
