[Help] Map and chat area URL's

A very long time ago I remember seeing a threat that talked about tip for streaming, and how to get the URL for the map window and the chat window area exclusively so that they could be captured direcetly by streaming programs and plugged into various panels of a stream.  I have spent the better part of two weeks searching for that old post and cannot find it. Could someone either direct me to it or perhaps, simply post the url for those two "pages" (i know they aren't really pages per se, but whatever).  That would make my streams a lot more clean if I could seperate the map element without all the extra stuff. And before you suggest having a dummy account, for streams, I do have one, I don't fully use it, although I intend to in the future.

Hi Toby! A couple of options here. Most streaming apps such as OBS will allow you to capture areas of the screen. You could have one section defining the map, and another the chat panel. You can pop out the chat panel into its own window by double clicking the chat icon in the right hand panel. If you are using Chrome, the only way to pop it back in is to refresh.   Finally, you can use an extension like Stylus to cause certain parts of Roll20 to not display, "turning off" things like the control panel, zoom bar, buttons and so forth. Style is here: Hide Roll20 Interface
I don't really want a lot of moving parts that could break or go wrong.  If it is set to capture only "parts of the screen" if anything is moved or minimized POOF it breaks.  Popping out the chat window implies it has its own URL to be in a separate pop-out space..  So I will play with that to see if I can snag the url, assuming the url is valid even if it isnt popped out I might be able to use that..  Stylus, is an interesting concept, assuming I don't have to adjust the settings every single time I exit or enter roll20 and I can turn it on/off swiftly.  I'll have to give that a look. I will look at some of these options and I examined the link you posted.  The marketplace see image and tags looks amazing as does some of the compacting options for the button bars.  Something that should really be core.  And maybe I can use this to adjust the "whispers" which dont really adjust all that well when using dark mode. Thanks for the input.

I don't recall ever seeing a post for the URL of a popped out window. I don't think it works that way, but that doesn't mean much. :D Stylus can be very quickly disabled in its dropdown menu, but it does affect the whole browser account. You would want to run your streaming window in a separate browser, or its own Chrome account (I have three Chrome Accounts for special uses like this). Also, I don't know if you have perused it, but the Wiki has some great streaming tips .
