GM looking for some Traveller people. I did something cool & wanted to show somebody.

I’m thinking, that in the new year, I will be running a Campaign in my favorite RPG Traveller! This will be my second time doing this in Roll20. I’m currently running a 5e Campaign and we just did our 22nd session. It started way back in July, and we’re still going. I was trying to make the Space Combat funner… more fun?... anyway… faster and easier for the players. I’m pretty good at making macros, Photo shop and Dungeondraft, but many times it just comes down to good ideas and thinking out of the box. Well, I just want to see what you all think about this.   It’s a Ship System Map. Everything that the DM and PCs would need right there in a cool format. Tell me what you think. Dan.

ok... I tweaked her a bit.   I added the Crit Hit Chart and tighten up all the text and Stations.  (will be doing more tweaking of that I'm sure) The Red Dots are Tokens (50% translucent) as are the 3 Green Sensor Contacts. everything else is a 30 inch map on a grid of 30. (grid turned off to make it easy to drag the markers around) Hon(peter) and the Firefly tokens... well... are tokens too of course. I say this here project is about 95% done. Perhaps I'll post some of my ship maps.
That is very cool,  and i like its visuals. Do you have any plans to share how you did this?
I love traveller I'm interested as a player depending on times and system. I only have the books for mongoose stuff (both editions) and I'm in GMT timezone which timezone are you in and what days would you be free to run it?
Interesting idea, but it's too dark & blurry to read properly.  I'm using a Samsung Android phone.

Ok, this is my Ship Construction Thingy... its not an App... I used Excel. So I locked all the Cells but the white ones. This way you can't mess up the formals. Oh, and I just now seen some responses. I will read and get to them A-Sap. Dan

Thanks, that's much more readable.  Nice work!  The content looks pretty good, although it could use a few more catch-all line items for options like planetoid/buffered planetoid, breakaway hulls, stables, hydroponics, jump net, etc. Phone/tablet can be quite handy for many games, not just Traveller.  For example, in a 24/7 text Play by Post game of Pirates of Drinax, I could easily login, read new posts, and reply in character, at any time & place where I happened to be.  If I needed to use Excel or go through extra references, I could do those when I got home.  Overall, it made the game go faster & smoother.
Text?   That doesn’t sound like fun at all.   That sounds like work.
That's almost an exact quote of what I've heard from so many people, who think needing spreedsheets for a game is not fun, too much work.  *wry grin* If you really enjoy an activity, it's more play than work.
