I want to play a game during the daytime EST. I'm thinking about starting around 10:00AM EST and playing 4 or 5 hours. Probably one day a week but I wouldn't mind two days a week if it worked out for everyone. I'm retired so I'm basically free any weekday and can play till the wife gets home around 6pm EST. I have been running games for many years but took a couple of years off from RPG's after the lost Covid Years (mostly because I played so much when locked down). I do not want to go back to 5E (what I had been running for years) but my AD&D books sitting on my shelf grabbed my attention! I have no idea if there are enough interested players willing to give AD&D 1E a try under a new DM but I thought I would give it a try. I want to try running AD&D 1E. I have not ever played or run AD&D 1E much at all so this will be a learning experience for me. I'm an ok DM, mostly theater of the mind with a good amount of chalkboard type battlemap when things get complicated. I tend to role play a lot more than at least was typical for 5E games(I was told) but my games are actual games and not storytelling at all. Mostly the games will be player driven. You guys will decide what you want to do from your own goals or by picking one or more of the adventuring options I will leave strewn across the landscape. Greyhawk is my favorite setting from my old AD&D 2E days. Let me know if you think you would be willing to give it a try and what time and day(or days) you would be interested in.
