My 12 year old is getting interested in D&D and we unfortunately haven't found an in-person situation locally that'll work for us. So I'm planning to GM a campaign for them and we'd love for 2-3 other players to join us! I've been playing RPGs for decades but am just returning to D&D....the last time I ran a campaign was in the 3.5 days, so I'm a little rusty but have studied the 5e rules pretty extensively. My kid (they/them) has been obsessively reading every sourcebook they can get their hands on with a degree of enthusiasm I wish would transfer to schoolwork! We're leaning towards one of the published 5e adventures - they're pushing for either Hoard of the Dragon Queen or the Saltmarsh adventure. We're hoping to play weekly but don't have a schedule set in stone - we just have to work around school hours (we're PST). Ideally we'd find another kid or kid-and-parent team to join us but we're open to anyone who doesn't mind a beginner-friendly, PG-13, casual game. If that sounds good to you, we'd love to have you.
